<testuser[m]1>
Oh the compiler-rt in my repo has sanitizers which only work on glibc
<testuser[m]1>
Use the one in kissLTO or just use regular ff with wayland.patch
<micr0>
i tried the firefox in kiss-community extra repo, with wayland.patch but it didnt apply
<micr0>
looking at kisslto rght now
<testuser[m]1>
Or just remove compiler-rt, lld from depends of ff and remove --enable-lto line
<dilyn>
mm. new firefox.
<dilyn>
i love it
<sad_plan>
fr? I see alot of people hate on it due to it has some similarity with chrome now :p
<testuser[m]1>
I think dilyn means updating the patches
<dilyn>
^
<sad_plan>
ah
<dilyn>
but I saw mental outlaw complaining about new ff. I like the look
<dilyn>
people complain too much I think
<testuser[m]1>
isn't it just a minor .1 bump ?
<testuser[m]1>
The current update
<dilyn>
this one is, so I'm not expecting too much hurt
<sad_plan>
yeah, I saw that video to, and tbh, I dont really get the hate. its fine for me. I usually run in fullscreen anyway, and use vim keys to navigate, so dont really notice it too much anyway
<micr0>
and now i need cairo-gobject, weird
<dilyn>
there'll probably also be a 1.53.1 of rust *soon* because they seemed to have fucked up 1.53 smh
<dilyn>
everything is great
<konimex>
so... should I hold back the updates for 1.53.0?

Hi. Sorry in advance for the off-topic. I installed chromium on sway (fork of wlroots-eglsterams) with nvidia proprietary drivers. Scrolling is laggy on a powerful pc. `chrome://gpu` output – http://0x0.st/-9LV.png. I use Arch Linux x86_64 with packages – https://termbin.com/0762. Help please!
<testuser[m]1>
try --enable-gpu-rasterization

It didn't help
<testuser[m]1>
rasterization will still be software-only cuz it needs dmabuf support i think, but other things should run on gpu now
<Guest96>
I also tried firefox, but it only works with flag `MOZ_WEBRENDER=0`, otherwise a transparent window appears
<sad_plan>
werent there anyone here who had packaged linux into their repo? is there a workaround for not having permission to install into /boot? the usual tricks for me dont work..
<testuser[m]1>
just make a pre-install hook to mount /dev/whatever on /boot ?
<testuser[m]1>
while the package installs to "$1/boot/"
<sad_plan>
but boot is always mounted, I currently got /boot in same partition as /.
