I'm trying to write some scripts to help deduplicate videos. I have some archives of youtube channels that I downloaded from multiple places with ytdl and the file hashes are different probably because headers, but I'm hoping the hashes of the video and audio streams will match and let me delete the duplicates with confidence
<bcn>
but some how I'm getting the same hash value for audio and video channels on some files
<bcn>
i get .mkv, .webm, .webp, and .desktop files out of ytdl. Ideally I'd like avmd5 to check "does ffmpeg recognise that as a video or audio file?" first

Is it possible to have ffmpeg forcibly encode something, say binary data, as a video to make something that just looks glitcy or is that not possible to do?

it's generating an audio and a video hash on webp files, which i thought were just images....

people, i am using ffmpeg -i FILENAME.mp4 images/img%05d.png to separate each frame of a video into images, how can i modify this command to separate every 3rd or 5th frame rather than every single frame?

hi. I'm struggling in doing a timelaspe from an mp4 video. I want to speed up the vido x5, as well as the audio AND also write into the video the timestamp of the original. It works so far, except that the timestamp only goes up 1s per second instead of running fast with 5s per second of video. ffmpeg -i "$f" -af 'atempo=1/0.5' -vf setpts="0.5*PTS,drawtext=fontsize=30:fontfile=/library/fonts/tahoma.ttf: box=1: text='Time
