<r0ni>
on arm64 dbus is core which has one as well
<r0ni>
first things first will be to get arm64 core in sync with x86 as they should be unless there any rando bug preventing that
<SiFuh_>
Understood
<r0ni>
for this task i think i'll just do normal optimizations for now
<r0ni>
i looked at cruxex and it seems all windows/fat32 based... and yeah
<r0ni>
oh yeah... i'm unsure which is default 'pkgconf' or 'pkg-config' ? it seems my x86 system has pkgconf installed and arm64 has pkg-config... but i don't recall selecting one or the other on either install

<farkuhar>
r0ni: the discussion at the bottom of https://libera.irclog.whitequark.org/crux/2023-08-16 might explain the handling of pre- and post-install scripts as it's currently configured in the ISO Makefile.
<SiFuh_>
farkuhar: Oh yeah, I remember that. Wondered what jaeger meant by that. Never read upwards.
<farkuhar>
as for the difference between pkgconf and pkg-config, I got bitten recently by the way multiple args to a --modversion query are handled by pkgconf, but it seems to have been fixed as of 2.0.1.
<farkuhar>
the choice of pkgconf versus pkg-config is up to the team that assembles the core collection. Maybe the crux-arm team was haunted by a similar incompatibility in pkgconf, and decided to stick with the more widely tested alternative.
<SiFuh_>
farkuhar: assembles <-- I saw it and thought you said assholes. Hahahaha :-P
<farkuhar>
SiFuh_: might want to add another directional adverb to your comment "Never read upwards"
<SiFuh_>
I guess it is the position of the word at the end of the sentence. Speed read and I see 'ass' and 'les' because I am scanning for the beginning of the next line.
<farkuhar>
You can avoid the need for scanning across the page by getting your terminal emulator to print lines in a boustrophedon manner. Reading it takes some getting used to, though.
<SiFuh_>
Oh that is cool. I actually read backwards a lot.
<SiFuh_>
Hmm no scripts for it that I can find for irssi
<farkuhar>
That void is your cue to write such a plugin.

He's a good friend. Mayb get some ideas of what he is doing
<jaeger>
Not something that really interests me personally but noted
<SiFuh_>
jaeger: All good

I find it incredible that 40" tyres are legal to drive on the road in the US
<SiFuh_>
I want that here haha

<SiFuh_>
That was one sentence
<r0ni>

<SiFuh_>
For me it will be, I must go attend to 4 cars and wire remot gate openers to them. Cut an polish a newly sprayed car. Change the diff oil. Remove and clean the breathers. Install new tubes and breatehrs. Install wiper motor. Check rear water tank for links and patch. Install botls on new licence plate with loctite. Drill two holes at 40mm Diameter into two stainless steel pots. Cut 4 elbow joins and then
<SiFuh_>
assemble with PVC glue. Drill two holes in wheel wells and install two cameras. Take of roller fairlead and install Hawse fairlead. Degrease the reel a thrid time. Maybe 4 times and attach and stress test new synthetic winch cord.
<r0ni>
good grief
<SiFuh_>
I hope that was because of my lack of spelling ;-)
<r0ni>
you have much more to accomplish than I!
<SiFuh_>
That is just today when I wake up
<SiFuh_>
Monday, and Wednesday also booked out.
<SiFuh_>
Saturday is kind of shoping for a guy who needs me to spray his back door but the spraying I am not sure the day but Saturday I plan to buy the equipment
