i dunno if anyones interested in such madness, but i've got hyprland running on crux, I'll attempt to put a repo online later if there's any interest in it
<jaeger>
Was it trouble to get working for some reason? Haven't tried it myself
<r0ni>
the entire program is an absolute mess honestly lol it uses a dev version of wlroots which is intended to be bundled with it rather than use the stable version
<r0ni>
needs its own xdg-desktop-portal (which deps on qt6), so it's all around a "fun time"
<jaeger>
sounds like a mess, yeah
<r0ni>
it's used by a project I intend to eventually piece together on crux so was a necessary evil in the end, but i've basically cobbled together existing scripts, it's by no means an invention of my own
<farkuhar>
r0ni: hyprland sounds interesting, thanks for putting together a repo. After adapting sddm from crux-kf5, and getting it to build against qt6, I have a display manager that can launch both X and Wayland sessions. But when a Wayland session exits, the sddm greeter (running with the X backend) does not reappear. Maybe with the hyprland compositor sddm would be able to reclaim the VT.

hi guys. In order to run a 32bit program, what do I need to do apart from satisfying the dependencies by compat-32?
<ppetrov^>
I am getting Segmentation fault for two precompiled programs, although i seem to have all deps installed
<jaeger>
That should be all
<ppetrov^>
ok, thanks

farkuhar afaik hyprland is recommended to be used from a terminal, so i'm not usre if it will be helpful for you (always worth a shot) I'll get the repo sorted after I feed the ol lady dinner (never want to delay this task) ;)
<r0ni>
it does use seatd, which may or may not be useful to know
