brian|lfs: your harfbuzz-32 failure looks like another example of 'eager linking'. You passed meson the argument '-D icu=disabled' but meson ignored it and tried linking anyway. Since libicuuc.so was installed by icu (not icu-32), it was the wrong format for harfbuzz-32. See line 590 of your build log.
