09:17 <farkuhar> ahmadraniri[m]: when you say "gtk app" do you mean gtk2? It might be necessary to write a line in ~/.config/gtk-2.0 by hand. Your gsettings command only makes changes under ~/.config/glib-2.0

I tried your exact command with a few gtk3 apps (including geany), and they all seem to adopt the new icon theme successfully.

According to the README for librsvg, running its post-install script (which should happen automatically with 'runscripts yes' in prt-get.conf) will update the cache of gdk-pixbuf loaders, so all the papirus icons should be loadable.
