Hello, I can't change icon theme for gtk app and it seems to stuck at `hicolor` icon theme, I have papirus icon theme installed. I change the icon via gsetting command `gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme Papirus`, it's not changed. Any clue to fix it ? thanks.

ahmadraniri[m]: when you say "gtk app" do you mean gtk2? It might be necessary to write a line in ~/.config/gtk-2.0 by hand. Your gsettings command only makes changes under ~/.config/glib-2.0

<farkuhar> "ahmadraniri: when you say "gtk..." <- it's gtk3, sorry for unclear description.

I have settings.ini for gtk3 too, but it has no effect.

ahmadraniri[m]: sorry that your experience with icon themes has been so frustrating. Can you say which apps in particular are not respecting your gsettings command? I tried your exact command with a few gtk3 apps (including geany), and they all seem to adopt the new icon theme successfully.

I'm trying it on 2 apps , pcmanfm (gtk3) and geeqie. I suspect there is/are lack of package(s). I also get this info :
<ahmadraniri[m]>
This may indicate that pixbuf loaders or the mime database could not be found.

ahmadraniri[m]: It's puzzling that you would get such an error message. According to the README for librsvg, running its post-install script (which should happen automatically with 'runscripts yes' in prt-get.conf) will update the cache of gdk-pixbuf loaders, so all the papirus icons should be loadable.
<ahmadraniri[m]>
<farkuhar> "ahmadraniri: It's puzzling..." <- well, that's on me I guess, because I don't use librsvg from ports, I compiled it myself to avoid rust compilation (I installed rust using method from rust page). I'll dig it deeper tomorrow. Thanks for the clue.
