<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> perhaps this? 9x SATA https://snipboard.io/lUvDQh.jpg
<Mangix> what the.... is that using port multipliers?
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> yes, unfortunately
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> its good enough for spinning rust
<Mangix> what device is that?
<Mangix> that does not look like spinning rust to me
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> its odroid m1 ... but anything with m2 pci would be the same
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> i mean with port multiplication you sacrifice speed
<Mangix> and power consumption
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> you can't utilize SSD disks, while you can spinning rust ... i only have 5 of those old ssds for testings
<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> power consumption of this system is 10-15W in total

<Armbian-Discord> <TheBug> RockPro64 with a real 6-10 port data card. Pros: full size pcie slot, heatsink with fan and working pwm, can fit well in at atx case, can run from molex / sata power to DC barrel cable from atx power supply

<Armbian-Discord> <NicoD> NanoPi M4V2 with SATA hat should be great too. I love my R6S with USB3 to SATA adapter. It does 2.5GbE. That's the biggest advantage of using that board. My next over the top NAS will be with a Mixtile Blade 3 with PCIe to 4 x SATA adapter. That's got 2.5GbE and I'll use it for my spinning rust. Put it in a PC case and use PC PSU to power it.
<Armbian-Discord> <Jason123> Raspberry pi plans to make more pi zero and zero w boards after the new year and those are 32 bit arm
<Armbian-Discord> <Jason123> armv6 instead of armv7 but still 32bit arm so I guess there is always going to be 32bit arm for now
<Armbian-Discord> <Jason123> As long as debian atoll supports 32bit arm armbian is fine

<Armbian-Discord> <Jason123> beanbag I ran znc on a pi zero w and run it on a pi zero 2 now without issue
<Armbian-Discord> <Jason123> the only difference between the pi zero and zero 2 is the zero 2 has more then one core so the core is not pinged at 100%
<c0rnelius> also the zero is armv6 and the zero2 is armv7/8. thats a pretty big diff there :)

<Armbian-Discord> <Jason123> yeah armv7 is more support then armv6
