<FergusL> Hello, I've read about qemu virtual armbian builds and even qcow2 images but I couldn't find it, is it only from the armbian build system? Thanks!

<stipa>
well, armbian build system is on some version of ubuntu
<stipa>
x86
<stipa>
if there's something else it's probably unsupported
<stipa>
you can of course run that ubuntu machine as a virtual machine what many probably do
<stipa>
i guess you can run Armbian image as a virtual machine on an ARM chip
<stipa>
that has virtualisation support
<Armbian-Discord>
<ManoftheSea> Or the x64 EFI build?
<stipa>
x86/x64 machine running any OS; at least 4G RAM, SSD, quad core (recommended), The officially supported compilation environment is Ubuntu Jammy 22.04.x amd64 only!
<stipa>
there's in 'armbian-config' option to enable virtualization probably if a chip supports it

<IgorPec> don't know what is the status. if this still works or not
<Armbian-Discord>
<FergusL> thank you @IgorPec! will test and report :)
<Armbian-Discord>
<IgorPec> if instructions needs to be update, you are welcome to submit fixes directly to the code.
<Armbian-Discord>
<FergusL> sure! I already submitted one or two tiny changes to the docs a year back. I'll make sure to contribute again. Thanks

armbian-jammy used on rocki-4, helios64 and odroid-n2 and successfully builld armbian images at least for that devices (rockchip64 and meson64)

<MicroLinux (Salva)> I would like to know the soc price
<Armbian-Discord>
<MicroLinux (Salva)> That's what matters
<Armbian-Discord>
<MicroLinux (Salva)> Not that particular hw
<Armbian-Discord>
<MicroLinux (Salva)> Since rk3588/rk3588s aren't cheap
<Armbian-Discord>
<MicroLinux (Salva)> In fact, they cost more than entry level intel socs that are far more powerful cpu wise (and have far better linux support)
<Armbian-Discord>
<MicroLinux (Salva)> If they cost similar to rk3588 soc, then it may be very interesting, since they have a more powerful cpu.

<MicroLinux (Salva)> People, cobsider to ALLOW armbian discord users to do invites since I have to visit armbian website everytime I have to share it
