nekomancer[m]: you should pull it out and get it working again
<Macer>
i was doing the same. it was under my bed for like 4 months and i'd check in every now and then. but manjaro xfce + levinboot = awesome
<Macer>
it can be a legit day to day. i think now that i have suspend working i'm going to order a ton of spare parts for it and just keep it forever. linux has a good track record of ridiculously long support for stuff like this.
<Macer>
macbook pro losing support after 10 years because apple abandoned it. let me see if i can keep this thing for 11
<nekomancer[m]>
no ideas how to do it. like something broken there. the man who invented to combo serial console with sound port and all switches under hoot was an evil prophessor from century-old comicses
<nekomancer[m]>
Macer: with 4 gig of ram? you will be limited by contemporary web browser and other fat software
<Macer>
works well enough imo
<Macer>
but you're right on ff being bulky. wish there was something that was a lot more scaled down and functional / faster that you could centralize
<Macer>
the gnome web browser is wk2 and also clunky
<Macer>
but it is usable ... i'm using it now. granted it is not nearly as fast as an x64 but for power vs speed it is winning
<nekomancer[m]>
today only chromium and firefox are web-supported. all other are geek toys, not full compatible with social web services — blogs, chats, e-stores, banks etc, etc.
<Macer>
safari? :P
<Macer>
edge? (which is pretty much chrome)
<nekomancer[m]>
safari ±... edge is a chrome
<nekomancer[m]>
safari available on linux for arm?
<nekomancer[m]>
`add-csgpio-to-rockchip-spi.patch` breaks `current` compilation for `rockchip64`.
<Macer>
no it is not. there are other webkit2 browsers tho
<Macer>
i mean the bulk of the clunk is the rendering engine
<nekomancer[m]>
but monkeys from corporate galeras ignores webkit in corporate products
<nekomancer[m]>
"sorry, your browser is unsupported, use latest chrome"
<Macer>
depends you can always fake it :)
<nekomancer[m]>
yes, but...
<nekomancer[m]>
that helps not in all cases
<Macer>
i suppose. just a thought though you really should unearth your pbp and give it another go. i almost abandoned mine too. glad i didn't now. heh

had a bit of a hiccup getting it to come out of sleep. not even sure what it is related to. maybe being disconected from AD network on resume so it can't find the DC
