JordanBrown: I could imagine numerous usages, but teepee seems to love clocks, and already showed numbers, so I'm going to guess it's a clock. :)
<InPhase>
Although I'll tell you what I want in a numerical display... I want something mounted near my front door that tells me what the temperature is outside before I open the door. That would be handy.
<InPhase>
Maybe not that big and gaudy... But I guess then I could see it from the second floor!

it references designs from another creator here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTB5XhjbgZA which is also worth a look, just about visual design of segmented displays in general

teepee so with mmu you will notice the importance of having multipart 3mf soon (as importing multiple 3mf in sclic3r doesn't work well - even cura has botched that in the latest version but at least the "merge" function is now working proper)

InPhase you need to live in a part of the country where the weather is suitable for human habitation.
<InPhase>
JordanBrown: lol. I opted instead for a place where food grows. ;)
<JordanBrown>
The San Joaquin Valley is both. (Not that I live there.)

JordanBrown: It seems to be hit with a triple whammy of natural water shortages, air pollution concentration, and high poverty rates. But yes, they do grow food successfully, with a bit of extra work to make it happen. Here I just stuff a potato into the ground, shove a green onion from the store into the dirt, or drop a tomato on the ground, and wait for more to grow.

JordanBrown: My operating theory is that seasons make it happen from the heavy natural fertilization of leaf turnover.
