hmm, never heard about that onworks thingy, looks a bit like RollApp (which I've never used before either)

Well I got openscad to launch in the onworks thing, but this is not really an openscad system. It's a remote graphical interface to a desktop VM. This technically works, but it appears to be substantially throttled.
<teepee>
better than what I got. "error 503" not being able to start ubuntu 16.04
<teepee>
rollapp is the same idea I think

right, the fedora version is ancient too and does not even have openscad installed, which would be 2015.03 so meh
<InPhase>
Maybe I should have started lighter. But I gave it a 2.5 minute render and it's been sitting there for about 10 minutes at 0/1000. https://i.imgur.com/yg7a1TB.png
<peepsalot>
I just tried to run one of the circleci artifacts (64bit) on windows and I'm getting lib3MF.dll not found, tried from both the zip and from installer
<InPhase>
(That imag is from onworks)
<InPhase>
s/imag/image/
<ccox>
for me it started an ubuntu session, but doesn't have openscad installed
<InPhase>
ccox: Yeah, you have to install it yourself.
<InPhase>
ccox: Which worked, but I'm going to go ahead and call this unusable. It's much better to just install locally. :)
<InPhase>
"Note that if either you perform no action during more than 10 minutes, or you leave the tab with the OnWorks session, we release your session for another user."
<InPhase>
So I guess you're not allowed to wait for it to render. Hahah.
<InPhase>
It closed out on me.
<ccox>
ubuntu 16, gcc version 5.4 --- ouch.
<ccox>
yeah, I'll stick with virtualbox, or running locally.
<teepee>
yeah, and fedora 29
<teepee>
they should sell wine
<teepee>
peepsalot: yes build issue that needs to be fixed
<peepsalot>
teepee, which build do the windows dev snapshots come from?
<ccox>
given that their docs refer to "Operative System" repeatedly, I suspect this is abandoned adware, not a current business.
<teepee>
what do you mean?
<peepsalot>
ok, is there already an issue for it or should i open one?
<teepee>
not really, unless you know someone who would like to fix it :)
<teepee>
I know the problem and it's the reason the download page is not updated
<peepsalot>
teepee, ah i see, so those would in fact come from the circle-ci builds normally, and something broke between 10.19 and now?
<teepee>
yes, the MXE update to all new libs also updated to actual lib3mf release losing some of the patches
<peepsalot>
yeah the dev snapshots on the download page are still working. just not one from my PR. was hoping I could debug some stuff using one of those builds
<teepee>
seems it fails to build statically, so we may need to patch again, or find out if it does work with some extra flag
<teepee>
yeah, it's a bit annoying but in some cases it would need the assert function
<Jack21>
is there one?
<teepee>
b=assert(is_num(x)) x+1;
<Jack21>
ah but i probably need to make all variables as functions ( got about 10 warnings if x=undef)..
<Jack21>
decided to just x=if_undef(x)?0:x;
<Jack21>
and why is the customizer causes "you have unsaved changes" with the asterix * in the title bar even after reload and when all customizer designs are removed (never were saved)
