<freemangordon> btw, in half an hour or so the applet will be in the repos (doing debian packaging ATM), so you may include it in the blog post as well :)
<Wizzup> heh, I just made it live
<freemangordon> well :)
<Wizzup> I can tweet about it separately later today
<freemangordon> ok

<freemangordon> Wizzup: could you add abook-osso-abook-home-applet to jenkins?
<freemangordon> oops
<Wizzup> sure
<freemangordon> wait
<freemangordon> sec
<freemangordon> osso-abook-home-applet
<Wizzup> sure
<freemangordon> this is the correct name
<Wizzup> done
<freemangordon> thanks
<lel> freemangordon renamed a repository: https://github.com/maemo-leste/osso-abook-home-applet
<Wizzup> now we just need a photo of marina to show off the aobok home applet ;)
<Wizzup> or what was her name
<Wizzup> yeah, Marina
<freemangordon> yeah :)
<Wizzup> but 15 years older ;)
<freemangordon> maybe her daughter? :)
<Wizzup> haha
<Wizzup> it's probably not a real person anyway
<freemangordon> yeah
<Daanct12> now i wonder when we can get an alternative to the n900 browser
<Wizzup> freemangordon: fits the matrix theme well :-p
<Wizzup> Daanct12: yeah, we need a good alternative browser that isn't too resource intensive
<freemangordon> :D
<Daanct12> yep, we need something that's just good enough to render tmo :)
<Wizzup> Daanct12: I kind of like the qtwebbrowser that we have perf wise, the ux around it is not pretty though
<Daanct12> maybe it's also resource intensive?
<Daanct12> probably more suited to something like a 2013 device and not a n900 :)
<freemangordon> it is the sites that are resource intensive
<freemangordon> with this web2.0 bullshit...
<Daanct12> heh, everyone just assume we have very modern phones and computers
<Daanct12> even my tablet can't do better with modern web browsing

<Wizzup> freemangordon: hm I added a contact but I don't see it
<freemangordon> did you restart?
<Wizzup> the phone?
<Wizzup> no
<freemangordon> yes
<Wizzup> doing so now
<freemangordon> applet is an applications that starts on startup
<Wizzup> ah
<freemangordon> *application
<freemangordon> did it appear?
* freemangordon is afk
<Wizzup> I see it now
<Wizzup> yes
<freemangordon> Wizzup: we must upgrade fsck
<freemangordon> the one in the repos does not support the features at least of the VM image FS
xmn has quit [Quit: ZZZzzz…]
<Wizzup> freemangordon: what features
<freemangordon> hmm, naybe my bad, I tried to fsck from jessie boot rom
<freemangordon> *maybe
<freemangordon> anyway, fsck on boot does not fix the fs
<freemangordon> I had to boot to chimaera cdrom to clean the fs
<Wizzup> weird
<freemangordon> but, don;t remember the error message
<freemangordon> lemme see if I can find anything in the logs
<freemangordon> hmm, I don;t see fsck run at all on boot

<freemangordon> ugh, presence-ui uses liblocation and libnavigation :)
<freemangordon> now I remember it is possible to set your location as your account status message :)
<freemangordon> or somesuch
<dsc__> handy, so we know when Wizzup is drinking rakia @ vitosha boulevard
<freemangordon> right
<freemangordon> actually, I think I shall put some rakia-detection code there :p
<dsc__> :p
<dsc__> next week im back behind an actual desktop computer again so ill do some conversations work at that point
<dsc__> this 'using a laptop in a random coffeeshop' is just now cutting it
<dsc__> not*
<freemangordon> yeah
<Wizzup> freemangordon: well we can probably ignore those parts for now
<Wizzup> freemangordon: but we have liblocation
<freemangordon> mhm
<freemangordon> will see
<Wizzup> dsc__: clearly I wouldn't ever do that at boulevard, but find better places ;)
<dsc__> Wizzup: Meanwhile at Vitosha boulevard: https://i.imgur.com/kszMuUQ.png
<dsc__> xD
<sicelo> fmg - presence is working already? I see away status on that contact
<Wizzup> dsc__: hehe
<freemangordon> sicelo: we just lack the way to control account (enable/disable/online) status
<freemangordon> everything else is working
<freemangordon> if you install empathy, you can use it as a stop-gap UI
<freemangordon> dsc__: wow
<sicelo> Oh nice. So i guess can online manually via mc-tool for now
<noch> > sicelo: we just lack the way to control account (enable/disable/online) status
<noch> > freemangordon wrote:
<noch> omg already? 'so i can see in addresbook which account is online and which account is away?
<noch> > everything else is working
<noch> but i remember we did not find a way to provide xmpp password with commandline, right?
<Wizzup> yes, but there is no way to message them yet ;)

<freemangordon> Wizzup: not really, pressing the action in addressbook opens empathy
<freemangordon> sicelo: mc-tool does not bring accounts online, afaik
<freemangordon> oh, wait, it works
<freemangordon> mc-tool auto-connect does the job

<sicelo> :-) of course
<Wizzup> freemangordon: ah, I see, I don't have empathy installed atm

<sicelo> shouldn't this be just CHARGE (as in LMD), instead of CHARGE_FULL_DESIGN?
<Pali> IIRC this pin reports (constant value) design capacity
<Pali> At least this applied for the original Nokia BL-5J batteries
<sicelo> i see. makes sense then. i notice the value increases a bit when connected to charger (at least on fremantle). i'll test it a little bit more on mainline, and report back if i have issues
vagag has joined #maemo-leste
<Pali> It is possible that ADC sensor is not too accure... or is affected by charger circuit. Or maybe battery circuit is also affected by charging process.
<Pali> Well, I think that Nokia SW did not use this information (design cpacity) as primary source but mixed it with something else.
<Pali> Maybe inaccure ADC is the reason.
<sicelo> yes. at least i have a better picture now. thanks :-)
<sicelo> struggling with upower on my n900 that has no usb port (so bq27200 always reports capacity 0 and upower instantly shuts down the device) [[ not on Leste ]]
