Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I've been having trouble setting up a fallback font and I'm wondering if anyone knows a solution

Yet when I do `echo "🌘"`, I get what appears to be Noto's emoji font

emojis aren't in a single range sadly nowdays but scattered all over the place

bookworm It certainly does ship emojis. I'm using the same font setup as I used in ST, and comparing them back and forth, Foot weirdly inserts a bunch of Noto emojis

if the emoji is followed by a variation selector for graphical presentation, fcft requires the font to include "emojis" in its list of supported languages. perhaps that's waths missing in unifont?
