If anyone has an excessively large /boot partition, uses UEFI and SYSLINUX. Would you mind to copy the CRUX ISO version 3.6 or higher and add these lines to syslinux.cfg https://dpaste.com/4TY9NXJKP.txt and let me know if the CRUX iso can be booted directly from /boot ?
<SiFuh>
Oh and you will need to copy some files like /usr/share/syslinux/memdisk to wherever syslinux.cfg is located
<stenur>
there is a maximum size involved is it? i think 128 MB or so, or 256, or the target must be within 1024 MB for sure; i have forgotten; note my /boot is not /media/efi

I will pull out a super ancient machine and try it tomorrow. It is so ancient it probably will take most of the day to make it.
