i'm really loving the upgrade to gcc 12. Compilation feels much quicker, even with large ports like mesa. Maybe I can even get used to the absence of rust-bin (although with the release cadence of rust that's probably too optimistic).

to be pedantic, rust itself isn't built using gcc, but if nearly every other port compiles faster on CRUX 3.7, then I might not mind sparing a few CPU cycles to build the latest version of rust.
