<fishe> hello! on attempting to install qtwebengine, the logs give a cryptic error that doesn't give much info
brian|lfs has joined #crux
<fishe> had to use zerobin because it was too large a size for pastebin

<jaeger> ./../../../../src/3rdparty/chromium/media/filters/ffmpeg_demuxer.cc: In function 'base::TimeDelta media::ExtractStartTime(AVStream*)':
<jaeger> ./../../../../src/3rdparty/chromium/media/filters/ffmpeg_demuxer.cc:101:7: error: 'av_stream_get_first_dts' was not declared in this scope; did you mean 'av_stream_get_side_data'?
<jaeger> That seems to be the problem, ffmpeg-related... ffmpeg 5.x broke a lot of stuff, maybe it needs ffmpeg 4.x? Or to disable ffmpeg? Just guessing, though, I haven't used it
<fishe> ffmpeg4 wasn't installed, gonna recompile qtwebengine and see if that fixes it
<fishe> sorry btw, i should have noticed that message in the logs but completely missed it

<fishe> built against ffmpeg4 and still the same problem
<fishe> i tried updating the ffmpeg5 patch to the version that corresponds with the version of qtwebengine being built (all of the patches seem to be outdated by a few versions), but it didn't work either

<zou0> Where are packages "installed" to count in prt-get listisnt?
fishe has quit [Quit: Connection closed for inactivity]
<SiFuh> zou0: I think you may be speaking about the database under /var/lib/pkg
<zou0> kind of
<zou0> can installing with busybox be painful?
<SiFuh> Not sure, never tried
<SiFuh> It can be done for sure. I wonder if anyone has done that, like for Rasberry Pi?
<zou0> I saw that in the crux iso there is a .config for busybox
<zou0> but for what?
<SiFuh> Not sure. There are some test, or setup examples
<SiFuh> Not everyone uses them and they are not always fully tested either
<SiFuh> Usually a form of contribution
<SiFuh> Maybe someone can build upon it, perfect it, enhance it
<zou0> oh
<SiFuh> Do you have a link to it?
<zou0> this make sense
<SiFuh> Is it official?
<SiFuh> It may have been used for Rasberry Pie or something
<zou0> https://crux.nu/gitweb/?p=system/iso.git;a=blob;f=busybox/busybox-1.32.0.config;h=31c25c67251d9f2f4dc927af21b74ced51b054e9;hb=HEAD
<SiFuh> Oh that looks like for builing th ISO
<SiFuh> jaeger: ^
<zou0> hmm
<SiFuh> Yeah, I just scanned through that quickly, that looks like the system built in to the installer ISO
<zou0> it would be interesting to use busybox
<SiFuh> If you have a spare PC, then you could try it
<zou0> unfortunately i dont have
<SiFuh> Same
