fishe: your experience with nyxt is rather typical; it's not very polished in comparison with more mature software like qutebrowser. But once you get it configured and running properly, you can enjoy keyboard-centric navigation again.
<fishe>
i might just give up and use falkon or firefox honestly
<fishe>
i have like 4 hours of online testing to do tomorrow and my pc is only half working lmaoo
<farkuhar>
a little-known fact about building the webkitgtk dependency: if you install wpebackend-fdo first, then webkitgtk won't throw errors like "could not create EGL context" in a wayland session.
<fishe>
ah, neat!
<farkuhar>
because nyxt is such finicky software, I should probably add a readme to my port directory, warning the user about its alpha development status and the tricks needed to get it working nicely in wayland.

Yeah, I wiped my nvme drive. Redid the install process. Ended up with the exact issue I had before. Something funny is up with my system and grub. Most of the time it boots to an error of some sort. But every so often I can find some magic and get it to boot normally. I have a feeling it's my motherboard. As any distro that installs its own bootloader works just fine.
<jaeger>
How far was the boot process getting? If you saw a grub rescue shell, then grub itself was installed but couldn't find its config or modules
<jaeger>
If you weren't even getting that, the UEFI entry wasn't installed yet

<fishe>
would this be safe to ignore?
<mnkydeth>
It seems like grub is installed. But I get random .mod files not found. This last one said net.mod couldn't be found.
<mnkydeth>
I may try to record my install to show what I'm doing. But I've never had this problem with previous versions of Crux. This is a new motherboard for me though. So maybe I should try 3.6 on it to see if I have the same issues or not. It won't be tonight. But over the next couple days I'll try it out.
