zorj: Dude!
<SiFuh>
My UK/NATO gear, my Australian cowboy boots and ( I didn't ask for it ) my New Zealand military uniform are here!
<SiFuh>
Mum posted all to me.
<SiFuh>
HAHAHA I am so happy
<SiFuh>
My wife was wearing the UK/NATO gear for trying it out and said "It is so soft, so smooth" I said "I know. I lived in them for 2 years in the Australian forest and jungles"
<SiFuh>
Got about 8 patches to do though. Due to moths. But so happy to have them back with me
<SiFuh>
Mum said there is no chance I can ever fit them. She thinks I am super fat and have huge feet
<SiFuh>
They fit perfectly
<SiFuh>
I am actually the NZ stuff is here. It is my favorite
<SiFuh>
The boots... fucking hell, so comfy
<SiFuh>
If I had them in Penang, I'd have been dancing
<zorj>
heh
<zorj>
you crazy man
<SiFuh>
I lived in them 2 years dude
<SiFuh>
They are like family to me now
<zorj>
i had brown leather boots, from israel
<SiFuh>
If I knew I'd be in Malaysia this long. I'd have taken them because they are like a security blanket.
<SiFuh>
Aussie boots dude. Fuck your Joo Joo Shoes
<SiFuh>
The story about these boots is that I was driving a Taxi and Hoppy, a regular customer. Got into my taxi and on the way home he says "Hey, I got these boots. Can you fit them?" I tried "Yes I can" He said "You want them they are yours. Someone gave them to me and I only have one leg" Hahahaha
<SiFuh>
I started wearing them and they were insanely comfortable. Easy on, Easy off.
<SiFuh>
When I went camping last time. I was struggling to put on the sneakers. I called my mother. "I WANT MY BOOTS"
<SiFuh>
Hahaha
<SiFuh>
I have been wearing sneakers for awhile and I hate sneakers. These are easier to put on and I can wiggle my toes. Last time we went camping. I am falling over trying to put the sneakers on. I thought to myself "I hate this! I want my boots" Then I remembered those in Australia.
<SiFuh>
Hoppy is a funny guy. He got a ticket for driving a car with one leg. It was a manual. The police pulled him over and said "Hold on, you have one leg. How are you driving a manual?"
<SiFuh>
He replied "My other leg grew back"
<SiFuh>
Then the police officer gave him a ticket.
<zorj>
this is not army boots man!
<SiFuh>
Care zero
<SiFuh>
I am a cowboy that loves Army clothing
<zorj>
hehe
<zorj>
not comfortable
<SiFuh>
Army clothing is comfortable and long lasting
<SiFuh>
When I opened the package
<SiFuh>
My mother had also sent me my New Zealand Camo
<SiFuh>
This is perfect for hot weather and is one of my most favorite shirts
<SiFuh>
I never asked for it.
<SiFuh>
I am so fucking happy it is here
<SiFuh>
That shirt I wore for over 30 years
<SiFuh>
If I die. I need to decide. Suit or NZ camo to burried in
<SiFuh>
I came here in the night. It is behind my hotel and near yours. Many foreigners and locals sitting on plastic chairs in the road drinking many types of foreign beer.
<SiFuh>
Tiger beer was 7 MYR which is cheaper than local prices. Local prices were 8.20 or higher.
<SiFuh>
They sold even Thai beer and many European beer.
<SiFuh>
The dude who owns the shop was moving money so fast he would be making a fortune.
<SiFuh>
Half way through the night his wife took over and he went to sleep. It was quite awesome. Wish you could have joined
<farkuhar>
Quality lost during transmission, probably.
<SiFuh>
Looks more like a bad photo your mother took
<farkuhar>
Yeah, she's not known for holding her hand steady while manipulating the smartphone.
<SiFuh>
I think it is focus
<SiFuh>
By the way ppetrov^ thought I was joking and most of my friends think I am full of shit when I said we saw a crocodile in the town
<SiFuh>
My friend Yishen said "I have lived here 20 years. I have never seen a crocodile in the town" Hahaha
<farkuhar>
It is rather incredible, to stumble upon a crocodile in the middle of such a populated area.
<SiFuh>
I know and more so since we only were there a single day
<SiFuh>
I stayed at a hotel there. I was 90 MYR
<SiFuh>
Fucking horrible dude. 2 am can hear them dragging a bed across the floor. I managed to get about 4 hours sleep that night
<SiFuh>
There was some dude who works nightshift and as he walks you can hear his feet clonking! ALL NIGHT!
<SiFuh>
I drank most of my vodka to make sure I got some sleep
<farkuhar>
Sorry the hotel had such annoyances for you.
<SiFuh>
Also, I found out there are many pillars in the ocean between Penang and the mainland. They are being set up for Intel. Intel is going to make a huge powerstation there
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: Hahaha Penang annoyed me. It wasn't anything like I was told it would be
<SiFuh>
And I got severe chafing. HAHAHA Had to sleep with balls to the airconditioner. HAHAHA
<farkuhar>
SiFuh: I was surprised that Biden didn't wait until Monday to announce his decision to drop out of the race. Why deliver such major news on a Sunday?
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: Next time. You come to KL. I know this place and it is heaps better to walk around
<farkuhar>
SiFuh: okay, if there is a next time, I'll visit KL instead.
<SiFuh>
Airconditioned skywalks (Basically a bridge)
<SiFuh>
I was told by a friend in the military he'd do it on the weekend just before I left to Penang
<SiFuh>
Anyway, still glad I got to go to Penang.
<SiFuh>
I bought a pair of T8's to test to see if it stops chafing
<SiFuh>
T8 Commandos Running Underwear
<SiFuh>
Highly recommended in the US
<SiFuh>
And my mother posted my old Military gear and my old boots. The boots would have been fantastic in Penang
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: You look rather short in that photo.
<SiFuh>
Thought you was a bit taller than that
<SiFuh>
And my pants look twisted!
<farkuhar>
Don't forget: your boots had much thicker soles than my canvas sneakers. Anyway, by replacing the footwear with what your mum sent, you made it unnecessary to buy thicker socks?
<SiFuh>
Would have been better if we were not carrying back packs
<SiFuh>
I have thicker socks. I usually use them for apocalypses hahahaha
<SiFuh>
Yes, oh and I bought tape. For the wife and I. So we can wrap our toes and legs in it for extreme hikes.
<SiFuh>
Your Penang trip gave me many new ideas :-P
<SiFuh>
Dude, when I finally crashed at the hotel. My clothes were so drenched in sweat. You'd have thought it was raining
<farkuhar>
Too bad I didn't get to show you the CRUX MUSL laptop in action, though.
<SiFuh>
Hahahaha, I was more interested in seeing Penang
<SiFuh>
I have passed through Butterworth where the military bases are but never crossed over to the Island
<SiFuh>
My wife said I looked like a bush man when I came back because I had a beard. HAHAHA
<SiFuh>
zorj: farkuhar is back from his secret mission
<SiFuh>
Old boots for free. But they are so damned comfortable
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: Bus trip back was 8 and a 1/2 hours
<SiFuh>
And the ticket was 20 MYR more expensive
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: Remember that Indian guy I met at the ferry? He came to me the next day when I was waiting the bus and said "So I see you stayed over night" Hahahahahaha
<SiFuh>
He is doing AI work for petroleum pumping.
ppetrov^ has joined #crux-social

farkuhar: Any sunburn?
<SiFuh>
I came back to the hotel and felt it. But the next day nothing

remiliascarlet: He says after killing the moose "I am going to start rendering the fat because it is the most precious commodity out here"
<SiFuh>
This is true
<SiFuh>
Fat is way more important than meat
<SiFuh>
Bible says you can't but as a survial expert. I know. Fat is most important
