<remiliascarlet> zorz: "minix is fork of bsd, torvalds forked minix." Wrong and wrong.
<remiliascarlet> zorz: "maybe remiliascarlet can help with design..." Not good at design, sorry.
<remiliascarlet> Minix and Linux are both written from scratch alternatives to Unix, but Linus used Minix at the time as a kind of a bootloader for Linux. BSD was been forked off AT&T Unix, and Unix benefitted from the code changes in BSD, so they adopted them as well. And don't forget that Minix was pretty much proprietary software until version 3.
<remiliascarlet> And the reason why I haven't been here as much is due to a combination of having lots of work to do, learning Vulkan, and the summer heat that makes me not want to do shit.
<lavaball> remi!
<lavaball> wait, you have heat?
<lavaball> i'm wearing three layers inside!
<remiliascarlet> lavaball: More like humidity. 38 degrees at 100% humidity.
<lavaball> yeah, the real people here are actually heating their homes at the moment. so it's really cold here .... in july!
<lavaball> i wonder when this global warming is coming eventually.
<lavaball> maybe you are hogging it, just like the japanese!
<remiliascarlet> And this is just typical summer over here; consistently hot day and night, with 37 to 42 degrees in the afternoon, and 30 to 34 degrees in the night.
<lavaball> bah. that's horrible.
<lavaball> well, i hope you code naked then at least.
<remiliascarlet> I can since I work from home.
<remiliascarlet> But it's not like it'll help anything.
<remiliascarlet> I have both an aircon and an electric fan blowing at the max, and it's still very hot.
<lavaball> i can? that wasn't a no.
<lavaball> nice.
<lavaball> yes yes, i know, the next line negates it logically, still. leave me my fantasies!
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: Every room here has a ceiling fan and every room has an airconditioner. The larger in the living room. If all 5 airconditioners are on and the doors and windows closed. And all ceiling fans on. Still damned hot. So we don't bother using them much.
<lavaball> i better put on socks. my feet are really cold.
<remiliascarlet> lavaball: Checked the weather in a number of European cities, you are are like in winter right now!
<lavaball> be quiet! we have the summer of the century!
<lavaball> that's what the tv says at least.
<remiliascarlet> SiFuh: Well, here it does make at least some difference, in that it's maybe 10% cooler than without.
<lavaball> and the tv always tells the truth and all of it!
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: June July August is winter in the Southern hemisphere
<lavaball> anyway, i have to start cooking.
<remiliascarlet> SiFuh: Europe is entirely in the northern hemisphere.
<SiFuh> My point exactly
<SiFuh> It's summer there
<lavaball> stuffing my face with those vegetables and legetmus lege ... the category with the lentils in them. sifu help me out.
<remiliascarlet> SiFuh: I mean the temperatures are winter-like.
<lavaball> well, we usually had summers, but they went away. i'm guessing to the global warming convention.
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: Got it
<remiliascarlet> Yeah, which is why they call it "climate change" these days, because they were swinging between "global cooling" and "global warming" a little bit too often.
<lavaball> well, it is how it is. gotta go clean shit so i can cook.
<SiFuh> I'm going to eat dead sheep and dead chicken eggs
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: That radiator coolant from Japan that ordered, I am having trouble finding again. The mechanic loves it and asked me to get him more. Hahaha
<SiFuh> Looks like he may be out of luck
<remiliascarlet> lavaball: All I eat is dead animals.
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: Nothing wrong with that ;-)
<remiliascarlet> SiFuh: I know, it's the best food.
<SiFuh> Tell me that in the 90's and I'd say you are full of shit
<SiFuh> Tell me that today, and I 100% agree with you
<remiliascarlet> That's most people who have recently (re-)discovered meat-based.
<SiFuh> I didn't re-discover. It was easier finding plants in the jungles than wild game.
<lavaball> i would too, but since the mrna vaccines are coming for animals, i decline.
<remiliascarlet> All that fear porn about cholesterol that got made up in the 1950s that most people still believe in today, only to turn out to be a lie after all these decades.
<lavaball> and before that there was the anti biotics issue.
<lavaball> so what am i supposed to do ehre?
<lavaball> the grass works for me, so i'll keep eating that.
<remiliascarlet> The injections can come from anything.
<SiFuh> Heh
<SiFuh> It is in everything. Air, water, clouds, food, animals, plants, hospitals, medication, supplements and the list is hige
<lavaball> what is "it"?
<remiliascarlet> The recipe is completely proprietary, so no way of actually knowing what the Jew-juice is made out of.
<SiFuh> Knowingly taken an injection is basically suicide
<SiFuh> Intentionally avoiding toxic corporate food and water is not. Even if it may still be inside it
<lavaball> that's a bit much. i know plenty of guinea pigs who survived it just fine.
<SiFuh> Mammals can't digest cellulose from plants
<remiliascarlet> Good chance they got basically just salt water.
<lavaball> seems unlikely. two people going to all injections together, and one is almost dead, the other perfectly fine.
<remiliascarlet> I mean the ones who survived.
<lavaball> one of the two i just subscribed is perfectly fine.
<lavaball> i think has more to do with where the mrna takes a hold and produces the spikes.
<lavaball> if it's brain or heart you are fucked.
<lavaball> oh, then there are of course the artery calimary.
<remiliascarlet> I'd rather say, survived for now. Because enough idiots who are willing to get injected once or twice a year.
<SiFuh> The injections must be stored below zero celsius.
<lavaball> oh, they won't ever again. they learned their lesson the hard way.
<SiFuh> It breaks down so quickly as it warms up
<lavaball> that's how they do things. they only switched to linux once the indians had already called.
<SiFuh> So if you let the nurse take her time injecting the first one and say you need a toilet break. The chances are the bottle will warm up
<lavaball> and of course they are now complaining about inflation, after they've already elected the other professional country destroyers.
<lavaball> i have a spine. i say no. I SAY NOOO!!!!!!!!!
<remiliascarlet> lavaball: If an Indian would have called me, I would just play dumb and keep them on the line for as long as possible so they can't use that time to make actual victims.
<SiFuh> I say NO!
<lavaball> remi, waht's your record?
<SiFuh> If the ask me why. I said "BECAUSE I SAID NO!"
<remiliascarlet> Record of what?
<lavaball> holding them on the line. they never called you?
<remiliascarlet> No.
<lavaball> i'm at over 45 minutes.
<lavaball> did toilet break and everything in between with them on the line.
<lavaball> and then i said my computer gives an error: 64 bit application not supported, when they wanted me to download their viewer or supremo thing.
<remiliascarlet> I don't think Indians really make phone calls to Japan, perhaps not willing to waste time with a nation where more than 99% of the population can't speak English.
<lavaball> oh, they speak nazi here too.
<lavaball> i always say no understand! no understand!
<lavaball> then i get someone speaking german.
<lavaball> usually they then make advances towards my mother, but once i had someone who was really disappointed. "cmon, why are you doing this, man".
<lavaball> and i was like ... you are trying to scam me, my dude.
<SiFuh> HEK 293 is still used as a flavour enhancer in many popular food brands

<remiliascarlet> SiFuh: Just go into any Japanese convenience store, check out the "meats", and they all contain sugar, soy sauce, and grape sugar. And then they tell you how bad meat for you is...
<remiliascarlet> Meat is not the bad guy, it's the toxic amounts of sugar you put into it!
<SiFuh> I didn't put any sugar in it!
<remiliascarlet> But you're not a convenience store.
<SiFuh> I am teasing your English
<remiliascarlet> Sometimes I even notice they add in corn syrup on top of all that too.
<SiFuh> Yes
<zorz> 'lo
<SiFuh> We got Japanese eel. Sugar, corn syrup, soy.
<remiliascarlet> Eel over here gets sourced from China usually.
<remiliascarlet> Not like it makes any difference, because they will always include "eel sauce", which is basically 1 fluid sugarbomb.
<SiFuh> remiliascarlet: I hate sugar so much, I feed it to yeast and then drink the ethanol output. HAHAHAHA
<lavaball> what did sugar ever do to you?
<SiFuh> Well you seem to have a sugar issue since you can't get into Ketosis
<lavaball> i can. it's just difficult.
<lavaball> can't even eat peanut butter. only tofu and vegetables.
<SiFuh> HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
<SiFuh> I have sugar free peanut butter here. Local made
<lavaball> peanuts have sugar naturally.
<lavaball> not much, but it's there.
<lavaball> just like oats.
<lavaball> you can't escape it!
<lavaball> aslo do you really think i eat common stuff?
<SiFuh> lavaball: Yeah but not the same sugar as refined sugar sugarcane
<lavaball> my head would explode.
<SiFuh> There are like 50 different types of sugar
<lavaball> i already get the sugar orgasm when i drink the 6% oat milk.
<SiFuh> Every plant you eat has one or more types of sugars
<SiFuh> Ketosis doesn't work very well on a vegetarian diet. I think it may be because of glycerin
<SiFuh> But I can't prove it. I just think it.
<lavaball> nah, works just fine.
<lavaball> just the peanut butter kicks me out of it.
<lavaball> otherwise no problem.
<SiFuh> Well peanut butter has added sugar anyway
<lavaball> i'm not even sure if it's just the sugar in there. maybe it's just too much proteinum, since i read too much of that can also stop the ketosis.
<lavaball> not mine.
<lavaball> we have our own manufacturer here.
<lavaball> even the non organic bucket from myprotein didn't have any added sugar.
<SiFuh> Isn't that from milk?
<lavaball> peanut butter?
<lavaball> it's usually made from nuts.
<lavaball> i heard they are called peanuts.
<SiFuh> Peanuts have a toxin called Pectin if I remember correcly
<lavaball> everything has some toxin.
<SiFuh> Lactis proteinum is from milk
<lavaball> that's why the game is called: pick your poison.
<lavaball> you mean whey?
<lavaball> depends.
<lavaball> back in my earlier day i ate the milk cassein stuff. 1 kg a day.
<lavaball> that stuff was the bomb!
<lavaball> dirt cheap. and good cassein.
<lavaball> though was in plastic.
<SiFuh> I drank milk everyday untill I got Osteoperosis. Then was told in Cambodia that you need to stop drinking so much milk
<SiFuh> $th of Julu is about to begin in the US East Coast
<lavaball> so i'm watching my torture porn as usual, but get this, now i'm invested as in what's going on between the two girls. like the one getting beaten is trying to make the other who beats her mad or something.
<SiFuh> Julu/July
<lavaball> i don't get it all. that never happened.
<zorz> i read a nice article....
<SiFuh> Doctor in Cambodia told me that it is 100% bullshit that humans need milk especially cow milk. Breast milk from a human is 0.003% or something like that. Cow milk is 100mg. He said you overdose on calcium, your body needs to store it, not integrate it, because you need a lot of Vitamin D and Vitamin K and Vitamin A to integrate it into your system. He said storing can be in muscles or bones. Either way
<SiFuh> it isn't actually used. It is only stored. He says your bones look strong but they are not. In the muscles it needs to moved around a lot or you will get muscle seizures. Last way is to piss it out. But too much calcium going down the toilet can cause renal failure.
<zorz> SiFuh: check the author :)
<SiFuh> He said you get all the calcium you ever need from vegetables and meat.
<zorz> 1 Apr, like a lie :)
<lavaball> you get almost everything you need from meet.
<lavaball> meat
<SiFuh> Yes, and I mostly eat the red meats and the bird eggs
<lavaball> mrbeast.
<lavaball> go!
<SiFuh> Go!
<lavaball> i wanted the collect the opinions on mrbeast.
<lavaball> not our ai overlords.
<SiFuh> Who is mrbeast?
<lavaball> okay.
<SiFuh> Okay
<lavaball> he just popped up on 4chan. so i was wondering.
<SiFuh> Ahh, no idea about that. I saw some TV documentary about 4chan but that is the scope of my knowledge about it
<lavaball> here some 4chan for you then: https://is2.4chan.org/pol/1720106268913326.jpg
<farkuhar> Trying to build openjdk on CRUX musl, I probably have to use a different boot JDK than the one beerman provided on git.crux.nu. Anyone have success with the Adoptium tarballs? https://github.com/adoptium/temurin17-binaries/releases/tag/jdk-17.0.11%2B9 (the AlpineLinux tarball is probably what I want)
<SiFuh> farkuhar: Not me, only using CRUX MUSL to mine crypto
<SiFuh> farkuhar: Forwarded your message to emmett1
<farkuhar> SiFuh: Thanks! Remind me again, is emmett1 in your time zone? And does he share your habit of staying awake and online at all hours of the day?
<SiFuh> farkuhar: Lives the next state over, so same timezone. No he is a devout Muslim so he follows the rules of Islam including sleeping times ;-)
<SiFuh> If he sees my message in the morning he will reply to me.
<farkuhar> SiFuh: okay, I can wait until daylight in Malaysia before checking back. There's no urgency in getting openjdk to work on CRUX musl.
<SiFuh> Daylight is will be 06:59 his time.
<SiFuh> He'll probably awake before then because the first prayer
<SiFuh> Fajr is in 4 hours from now so will be 05:44
<SiFuh> I'll be asleep long before then I think
<SiFuh> Okay done. I let him know what we said
<SiFuh> farkuhar: https://s3.amazonaws.com/i.snag.gy/xoz7Jl.jpg Here is a very bad photo of our last camping trip
<SiFuh> Not a very bright idea to pose after swiming. We all look like drowned rats
<SiFuh> farkuhar: 30 bucks for the pins and 30 bucks for postage.
<SiFuh> HAHAHAHA
<SiFuh> But on the bright side. These pins are work over 6 bucks each and there are 99 of them
<SiFuh> So the price is worth it
