<quantum_> Yes
<quantum_> Rorating circle forever.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> sounds like your N2+ might be having issues like mine did
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> it works on and off for a few days here and there
<quantum_> Changed that. And changed the SD card.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> shrug dunno
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> worked first try here
<quantum_> You're telling me it works for you?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> yes
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> its up and running in next room
<quantum_> Alright. Hopeless then.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> sorry to hear that
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> felt the same way with my n2+
<quantum_> So you're not running an N2+?
quantum_ has quit [Quit: https://quassel-irc.org - Chat comfortably. Anywhere.]
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> not anymore.. just the N2
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> the N2+ took a lightning hit
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I had both
<archetech> did you try a cli odroid image like I said
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> archetech: the gui one ran fine for me so it should've for them too though right?
<archetech> he needs to get a baseline image running to verify its ok
<archetech> then can try armbian or w/e
<archetech> I thinkits his sdcard(s) or burn skills
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> archetech: yeah.. I have just ruled out the image
<archetech> yes you did
<archetech> and I have armbian on my N2+ on sdcard
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I need to go plug up my emmc back in and restart it
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> brb

<aasami_> Sorry, no sensors were detected.
<aasami_> Either your system has no sensors, or they are not supported, or
<aasami_> they are connected to an I2C or SMBus adapter that is not

<Armbian-Discord> <IgorPec> they don't know much about SoC sensors
<aasami_> Thought so

<montjoie> often you need some additional code to "forward" thermal measurement to hwmon for lm_sensors

<quantum_> Armbian is just not maintained for the N2+.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> that is not a fair statement
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> it worked perfectly fine in my test
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I used the most recent image/version made
<quantum_> ... on your N2. But if you had an N2+ you would get the same results as I have.
<quantum_> Completely fair.
<quantum_> I just don't know what to do about it. So far haven't been able to figure out Debian's aarch64 port.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> the n2/n2+ are the same unit just different speeds basicly
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> and btw I have about 25 aarch64 machines running atm
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I think you need to check into that network setup like I referenced yesterday... you should "not" be seeing network addresses like those normally if you aren't expecting them
<quantum_> Same results, whether on my LAN with no DHCP or on my ISP's ONT which does. The yellow NIC light flashes about every 3 seconds, rather than staying on and the green light flashing like it should.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> as yesterday... those addresses are "not real" indicating you have a network problem on your unit
<quantum_> {sigh} I don't want a third weekend angry because of this. As I say, my hardware works fine with 21.08.1 or older.
<quantum_> The three of you with N2's keep blaming my hardware. Now -that's- unfair.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I didn't imply at all that your hardware has any problems... there are so many other things that could be causing this... "network problems" doesn't mean hardware... just stick with whats working and enjoy.
<quantum_> Debian's ARM port instructions https://wiki.debian.org/Arm64Port make no sense when paired with the so-called "images". https://d-i.debian.org/daily-images/arm64/20220807-02:28/

<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> What network ip? 169.154?
<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> Avahi doesn't use rfc1918 space
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> well he has "something" trying to use a private ip range
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> be it avahi or something else
<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> Isn't that the bootstrap from the builder?
<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> The bootstrap log isn't useful for anything, if you booted the same image
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> It worked for me...
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> and others
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I tried it last night sittig here
<Armbian-Discord> <ManoftheSea> And u-boot is part of the image, right? Or is there a petitboot on that system?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> his probably still has petitboot.. mine doesn't
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I have tested both though
<c0rnelius> well, he's very determined to use that Armbian img.
<c0rnelius> the one playing hard to get.
