<Armbian-Discord> <Mangix> is it expected that the latest Armbian for the Helios 4 is built with THUMB by default?
<Armbian-Discord> <Mangix> i was wondering why everything was slow...

<aasami_> As a matter of facts speaking about XU4, 2GB might be enough for a toyscreen. But! Using a emmc swapping isn't a horror anylonger, Don't make swapspace as small as usual, more space is great,

<quantum_> Well posting on the forum made no difference with Armbian not working on the Odroid N2+.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> quantum_: what problem you running into?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I've got a N2+ here. Its running a custom os however I could load up a test image if needed
<quantum_> CLI images fail at (initrd). Can't find root UUID, even thouh it's there. GUI images all get rotating circle forever.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> oops... just realized I only have my N2 anymore.. the N2+ took a lightning hit
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> hmm.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> that sounds like the u-boot
<quantum_> Doesn't make a diff. Igor said that all N2's have the same hardware config.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> what media are you using?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> yeah it should be identical
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> its the same base soc
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> what you using? emmc or microsd?
<quantum_> Transcend High Endurance SD. Changed that. And changed the whole N2. No change.

<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I just needed to know so I can build what you built
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> was it a prebuilt image or did you build it?
quantum_ has joined #armbian
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> if prebuilt do you have the url handy?
<quantum_> I tried every current Armbian image for the N2.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> from Armbian's site?
<ArmbianHelper> ^ Odroid N2 / N2+ – Armbian
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> ok.. Let me pull and try one real quick
<quantum_> I used Etcher to flash, and dd. Both give the same result.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> ok. I'm downloading now
<quantum_> Here's the log for GUI: https://paste.debian.net/1249217/
<ArmbianHelper> ^ debian Pastezone
<quantum_> Always the same...
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> are you using docker or a nat?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> this is your problem: URL:http://10.0.10.10:3142
<quantum_> Nope
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> that is a private ip on your machine
<quantum_> Not on my machine.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> yes... it is
<quantum_> ... nor my LAN.
<quantum_> No idea where that came from.
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> 10.X is non-routeable ips created by something (usually avahi) on your machine
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> what kind of nic did you add to your n2?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> is it lan?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> if you added a second interface it could be confusing it
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> thats what I don't like about the N2*
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> not having built in wifi
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> I'll see shortly though.. mine is almost finished downloading.
<quantum_> Understand. But I have no DHCP server running.
<quantum_> Actually 10.2.1.0/24
quantum_ has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<quantum_> And my cidr is 10.2.0.0/24.
quantum_ has joined #armbian
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> It picks up its own address range if it can't find one.. thats part of avahi's design
<quantum_> Why would that IP cause it to crash this way?
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> because your default route now is blocking network traffic. I cant answer the crash part until I see it
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> about to test now
<Armbian-Discord> <Tenkawa> brb
<quantum_> See? I've just tried Armbian_22.05.4_Odroidn2_jammy_current_5.10.123_xfce_desktop.img again connected directly to my ONT (fiberoptic interface), and no change. Rorating circle forever.
<quantum_> ... and bootstrap.log stops at "Processing triggers for initramfs-tools (0.140ubuntu13) ..."
<quantum_> Yellow light on the N2+'s NIC flashes ~every 3 seconds, like it can't negotiate a protocol.
