Hello, Did someone know where are "postinstall scriptlet" of coreutils ? I have this error when I build a toolchain: Deferring to first boot via 'exit 1' is no longer supported. it's like something that change in syntax

I finally found the issue: We don't have coreutils in our main image but another stuff non GPLv3. But in the other stuff there is no "timeout" app, so we made it. And when we build the toolchain, for some reason it includes coreutils (for valgrind), and then there was an error because two package providing the same binary

I'm wondering if i.MX6 hardware is still supported with scarthgap and 6.6 kernel (community flavor of BSP)?
<ivand>
having issues with USB and graphics, and can't find any references to i.MX6 + scarthgap online

ivand: i'm using a imx6dl with the nxp-bsp (more or less successfully). alternatively you can try the meta-mainline things from marex/dh. not sure if that solves your issue though
<ivand>
Jones42 Thank you, I'm inclined to switch to nxp bsp as well. It's just that for dunfell mainline bsp worked out of the box, and the one from nxp had issues. This time it might be the opposite.
<LetoThe2nd>
howdy! playing with spdx generation, does anybody happen to know what error 137 is? as in ERROR: Task (/home/mender/builds/sbom/vanilla/poky/meta/recipes-support/gmp/gmp_6.3.0.bb:do_create_spdx) failed with exit code '137'
<Jones42>
ivand: i haven't tried the mainline things. In my case, the decision to use the nxp-bsp was made by the powers above, but getting started was only a bit painful.

LetoThe2nd: OOM or similar. that's SIGKILL.
<LetoThe2nd>
rburton: hmmm. so playing with BB_NUMBER_THREADS probably then.
<rburton>
most likely. or more ram for the container if thats the case.
<rburton>
if you can monitor memory usage and see that eg the spdx generation is briefly trying to use gigabytes then tell josh
<LetoThe2nd>
rburton: k. no container, bog standard box with 32G. So I kinda expect such to pass.

gmail folks should check their spam folder. For some reason I've got a lot of oe/oe-core stuff in there from the last week.

not just "plz help" crap from randos - posts from khem and RP.

normally it has been reasonable; one or two strays a month, but I had probably over 30 from the last week - hence the heads-up. Something must have changed.
<Jones42>
no. still confused. "AUTOINC" has to be in PKGV (package.bbclass:326). this is the case if SRCREV=$AUTOREV="AUTOINC" and PV=PKGV="1.0.0+git${SRCPV}" . But that's not exactly how i understand the documentation.
<kanavin>
should there be a patch review meeting now?
<kanavin>
RP ^^^
<agodard>
Jones42: because I think PKGV is not expanded in the environment, but later. you won't see it from bitbake -e. check that the generated packages contain the hash, they should

khem: mmmm, can you run the script manually maybe?
<qschulz>
so we can see what's failing
<qschulz>
also which b4 version?
<qschulz>
khem: ah wait, it's expecting the patch on stdin the script, so not that easy to reproduce
<qschulz>
IIRC, git diff | <the command> should work decently enough, if not, the output of git-format-patch -1
<qschulz>
s/git diff/git log/
<qschulz>
git log -1 of course
<qschulz>
and then you can add prints anywhere
<khem>
qschulz: version is 0.14.2
<khem>
it works fine for non-poky repos
<khem>
lsdiff missing from host, please install patchutils
<khem>
hmmm
<khem>
ok it works now after installing patchutils
<khem>
Perhaps it should be tell me about it in humane way perhaps :)

khem: i'm wondering if we need to flush the stdout before exiting?
<qschulz>
because I do print a message
<qschulz>
but then I set the return code to -1, and b4 raises an Exception in that scenario
<qschulz>
AHAH, no, it's b4 eating the stdout
<khem>
right
frieder has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<qschulz>
so we should print to stderr and not stdout
<khem>
right
<qschulz>
khem: preparing a patch so you can test
<khem>
that would be appropriate as well since its an error
<khem>
seems to be showing now, last time it would not run in dirty tree so git stashed it accidently
<khem>
although there is lot of garbage after the msg I wish that disappreared too but its ok
<khem>
its python I understand :)
<khem>
rburton: re. opensbi autotools change, I kept the do_compile because there is a dependecy on do_compile added and I did not want to open more can of worms
