<azonenberg>
Woop, update on probes: both 100 and 450 ohm HML resistors have shipped
<azonenberg>
expected probably late this week
<azonenberg>
so i'll have 100 of each for future R&D and maybe small run production ramp-up
<azonenberg>
also, i have a ship date (late august) for the lossy cables for the R-C probes
<electronic_eel>
ah, nice. so no more totally unknown ship data. looking forward for you testing the 450 ohm tip resistors
<azonenberg>
Yeah i have like three probe designs now where i really want to try them out lol
<azonenberg>
and yes having the 450s to test will be nice. but i'm also looking forward to not having to ration my 100s quite as much
<azonenberg>
i was very close to running out
<azonenberg>
and am already recycling them from previous prototypes
<azonenberg>
only the latest rev of each design actually has a tip res on it which makes going back to compare performance against an older rev annoying
<azonenberg>
as i have to keep swapping parts
<electronic_eel>
but shouldn't resoldering them be easy? i mean you have to solder at least the dut side each time you want to use them
<azonenberg>
It's relatively easy just annoying :p
<azonenberg>
and actually the fixture i use for testing is just a clamp
<azonenberg>
i can just push the leads under it and it works well enough for most work
<electronic_eel>
ah, that is why there is this clamp thing in the dut-jig you have shown several times in your photos
<azonenberg>
Yeah
<azonenberg>
its intended purpose is deskewing probes against each other
<azonenberg>
before soldering to the dut
<azonenberg>
so you can calibrate out a few ps of mismatch in the cable length from one probe tip to another or something
<azonenberg>
Also, next rev AKL-AV1 just shipped
<azonenberg>
hoping to have that by end of week
