<Lt_Cable> Thanks @Wizzup for the help earlier! I was able to get install.sh to work by using 'adb shell mount -o rw,remount' and I now have Maemo Leste installed.
<Lt_Cable> What is the current status on making the droid 3 build more stable?

<diejuse> inky I have tried coolkbd quite a bit and it doesn't work as a solution. In portrait mode it gives me problems (it messes up the rotation). In addition, it does not adjust so that you can see the content below the screen.
<Wizzup> this requires work from hildon-deskop, to support the keyboard pushing the content.

<diejuse> I suppose it will have quite a bit of work. Unfortunately I don't have the knowledge to try to modify it.

<freemangordon> could someone execute '/usr/share/ofono/scripts/send-ussd *#43#' on n900? this is supposed to return call waiting status
<freemangordon> sicelo: ^^^
<sicelo> ok. i'll use gdbus
<inky> diejuse, i think the developer will be happy to make it work and usable for you.
<inky> you just need to ask.
<inky> i will ask him and give you his email. if you describe what you need he'll be happy to help.
<sicelo> freemangordon: yes it works. sv "CallWaiting" (sa{sv}) "interrogation" 5 "VoiceCallWaiting" s "enabled" "FaxCallWaiting" s "disabled" "SmsCallWaiting" s "disabled" "DataSyncCallWaiting" s "disabled" "DataAsyncCallWaiting" s "disabled"
<inky> folks, do you think it won't harm if i add debian backports and install newer dino from it?
<freemangordon> sicelo: does not work in my VM :(
<freemangordon> dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.ofono.Error.Terminated: Operation was terminated by the network
<freemangordon> did you use the ^^^ command or something else?
<sicelo> the test scripts do the same thing
<freemangordon> hmm...
<sicelo> terminated by the network ... your network doesn't like something
<freemangordon> I will put that sim in my n900
<sicelo> busctl call org.ofono /n900_2 org.ofono.SupplementaryServices Initiate s '*#43#'
<sicelo> that's what i ran. you can try it, but i'm sure test scripts do it same way
<freemangordon> umm, nothing happens what I run that
<freemangordon> *when
<freemangordon> ah
<freemangordon> differenet modem
<sicelo> yeah ;-)
<freemangordon> still, it waits for few seconds and then terminates
<sicelo> in case this helps your work, here's the other codes that i've tried, and the output, https://paste.debian.net/1306896/
<sicelo> either your network ... or the modem itself
<freemangordon> I would bet on the modem
<freemangordon> could it be because it is LTE? should not, but...
<freemangordon> ok, lets put that card on n900, I bet it will have no issues there
<inky> Wizzup: it is possible that your pinephone keyboard is totally fine.
<inky> it just needs to get charge, and it likes higher frequencies.
<inky> this article calls it a speculation that connecting type-c to pinephone when in kbd case can cause the damage: https://xnux.eu/log/072.html

<freemangordon> sicelo: hmm, it seems USSD codes do not work in 4g
<sicelo> yes :-)
<sicelo> that's LTE only modem?
<freemangordon> and modem shall fallback to 3g/2g when un lte mode and ussd is requested
<freemangordon> no
<freemangordon> AvailableTechnologies = gsm umts lte
<freemangordon> but seems it is buggy as it does not fallback
<sicelo> what about techs that you've selected?
<freemangordon> TechnologyPreference = any
<freemangordon> oh
<freemangordon> Technology = lte
<freemangordon> hmm, wait
<Wizzup> inky: I have another pp kbd
<inky> good!
<Wizzup> freemangordon: you're implementing ussd ui?
<freemangordon> no
<freemangordon> phone applet
<freemangordon> connui-cellular
<freemangordon> ok, seems modem is buggy, I'll force it to 3g
<freemangordon> does not help :(
<sicelo> what driver does it use in ofono? some of them have debug capability ...
<freemangordon> sicelo: does not matter
<sicelo> ofono itself has some basic debug
<freemangordon> I attached picocom to the modem
<sicelo> ah
<freemangordon> and it gives error there
<freemangordon> hmm: CME ERROR: 258 Phone is busy
<freemangordon> what?
<Wizzup> freemangordon: what does phone applet do with ussd?
<freemangordon> how to get CallWaithing etc?
<Wizzup> no idea :)
<Wizzup> brb
<sicelo> maybe that modem implements it with a slightly different AT command? like D4's `1234` thing?
<sicelo> oh wait ... does that modem really support calling?
<freemangordon> it should be that one, see https://forums.quectel.com/t/ec25-at-cusd-cme-error-258/12026/8
<freemangordon> sicelo: umm...
<freemangordon> oh
<freemangordon> it should
* freemangordon checks
<freemangordon> well: org.ofono.VoiceCallManager
<freemangordon> so I assume it supports voice calling
<sicelo> make an incoming call towards it to know for sure :-)
<freemangordon> hmm, AT+CCWA? works
<freemangordon> sicelo: atdtXXXXXXXXX gives NO CARRIER
