<sicelo> FTR: i have sent spinal's N900 patch for 950mA charging current limit upstream. i got permission from him a year ago. https://lore.kernel.org/linux-pm/20240228083846.2401108-2-absicsz@gmail.com/T/#u

<sicelo> i might be jumping the gun, but i think Sebastian's silence on my bq27200 patches is acceptance ... considering that he gave feedback on the one for bq24150 that i also sent same time. so, which droid4-linux branch should i submit those two against?
Livio has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds]
<sicelo> a cool think we could do in future for the N900 ... no idea how I'd actually wire this up kernel-side ... is: the charger (bq24150) can tell when the battery has been removed, but the fuel gauge doesn't appear to. so if we could have a kernel way to 'link' the two, so charger initiates a refresh of fuel gauge's data when a battery is restored
<sicelo> this would give us nice/reliable battery hotswap support. you can already hotswap batteries, but the fuel gauge reports wrong data the entire time after that

<mighty> wlroots with tmlind's patch seems to break again, https://paste.debian.net/1308907/ any clues why xcb is failing?
<mighty> `[xwayland/xwm.c:1530] xcb error: op 2:0, code 3, sequence 112, value 8388609` `[xwayland/xwm.c:1530] xcb error: op 25:0, code 3, sequence 113, value 8388609`
<mighty> for context im on pmos with phosh (phoc 0.33, wlroots 0.16.2) and it crashes with this error

<sicelo> the driver for bq24150 doesn't send events, so now that it's a charger, upower only sees its state the first time it (upower) runs. after that there are no changes at all :-p
<sicelo> i don't think it's a major problem, since the '2nd' charger provides events correctly, and upower doesn't agreggate line power devices.

<Wizzup> diejuse: if you can use maemo-leste/bugtracker for bugs it will help us be more organised about than, rather than filing bugs at the repos/packages themselves
<diejuse> Wizzup All right
<Wizzup> (but they are very welcome ! :D )
<diejuse> Great because I want to make another video with another iconic mobile phone showing the use of some Maemo apps.
<diejuse> And everything has to be in portrait mode.
<Wizzup> mhm
<diejuse> For example, mihphoto is an app that I really like but it doesn't show all the buttons in portrait mode.

<uvos> Wizzup: yeah, just setup my own matrix homeserver, was hoping to use it for leste
<uvos> buuuuut no :(
<uvos> so mutch for that
<Wizzup> It's silly how hard it is just to bridge these things, it's sad that libera had to turn it off
<Wizzup> I think you should be able to do it with your own intsance though, right?
<uvos> yeah i could bridge it
<uvos> maybe some time
