<wael[m]>
this is selfhosted matrix
<wael_>

<wael_>

<wael[m]>
hello matrix.org matrix wael
<aelspire>
Oh, thanks
<aelspire>
my PotatoePi might have problem with selfhosted matrix
<wael_>
i do not suggest running selfhosted matrix unless you participate in small channels
<aelspire>
yeah, thats my thought
<testuser[m]>
u can run it in 512mb ram
<testuser[m]>
but u can just use a normal instance
<aelspire>
I've Orange Pi PC with 1GB RAM with alpine on data mode (root in ramfs data on HDD) 512MiB of RAM might be stretching it thin
<aelspire>
but some normal instance might be it
<aelspire>
Ok, I'll look into matrix, thanks for help
<wael_>
pleaes dont
<phoebos>
aelspire: if you already have a server, bouncers are cool
<phoebos>
or you could use a tilde server with tmux
<aelspire>
I've no experience with IRC, I usually preferred forums. But I think it's time to dive into it. I've server and looked into self hosting IRC bouncer but family and work prevented me from getting deep into it.
<aelspire>
I'll need to check what is popular and polished now (IRC bouncers or dive straight into matrix)
