<dnkl> phinxy: dim colors are a bit different. They're not really part of the color palette. It's a specific escape that dims any color, including rgb
<dnkl> foot can recognize when an application tries to dim one of the regular (8 first colors), and map it to the custom dim colors specified in foot.ini
<dnkl> bright colors are just the 8 colors at index 8-15 in the color palette
<dnkl> lots of applications use them, including nethack, if I remember correctly
