<jaeger> I don't think so but I'm not 100% sure. I've seen that before but didn't seem to cause issues

<markboston> it seems to stop working after awhile not sure why
<markboston> also i don’t think my modules are being loaded properly for kms

<markboston> how do i configure dracut for that do i need a special file? i just made a myflags file with adddrivers+=“ i915 nouveau”
<markboston> it’s not adding it at least it’s not showing it
<markboston> is there a way i can check the img?
zorz has quit [Quit: leaving]
<jaeger> You should be able to uncompress it, I don't remember if it's cpio+gz or what but no reason you can't take it apart
<jaeger> As for adding drivers, I'm not sure about the myflags file but you could also try --add-drivers "i915 nouveau" on the dracut command line
<jaeger> Do you have both intel and nvidia GPUs in the machine?
<markboston> also who wrote this package manager? have they heard of dep checking
<markboston> and yes
<markboston> it’s a so called optimus system
<markboston> but i’ve already spent way more time on this then anyone should i’m gonna use gentoo
<markboston> it was a fun experiment though
<markboston> also someone should really update the wiki and the handbook is almost useless
<markboston> goodnight all
<jaeger> alright, take care

<r0ni> guess the knowledge level for entry is too high, reading man pages was one of the first things I ever picked up on using linux, if only people would read them

<farkuhar> r0ni: reading man pages, heh. If markboston had done so, he would have seen the AUTHORS section at the end of prt-get.8 (I'm assuming that's the package manager he's referring to, unless he tried out one of the reimplementations ... onodera's in Go, mine in Perl)
<uwumeowmeownyaa> I hate Go so much it's unreal.
<uwumeowmeownyaa> I like man pages, though.

<jaeger> Out of curiosity why the go hate?
<jaeger> syntax, culture, something else?
<remiliascarlet> The only thing I can think of would be the woke code of conduct, or it being made by Google employees.
<remiliascarlet> Other than that, I think Go is a really decent language.
