<ppetrov^>
SiFuh, i was reading about Venom a year ago. It seems very similar to crux
<SiFuh>
ppetrov^: Yes a few of us think so. I emailed emmett already. If it is him I will be looking forward to meet him since as far as I know he lives here near me.
<SiFuh>
Will be good to have a fellow developer near by
<ppetrov^>
do you know the guy?
<SiFuh>
Yes but I didn't know he is Malaysian
<SiFuh>
Maybe I did, but I was not in Malaysia at the time he said. But who knows
<SiFuh>
Or maybe he isn't Malaysian at all
<ppetrov^>
ask him :)
<SiFuh>
I sent him my phone number
<SiFuh>
Like I said, will be good to have someone I can talk to.
<SiFuh>
I remember he was on CRUX a lot. Usually small problems. But nothing serious. I remember the name because it reminded me of Emmitt Brown from Back to the future.
<SiFuh>
I saw musl. I wonder if he built a musl based distro
<SiFuh>
If he did that would be kind of cool. I often looked into the idea of making a CRUX linux iso based on MUSL as the installer but not the installed distro being MUSL
<ppetrov^>
the installer being busybox, and the distro being gnu?
<SiFuh>
I was looking at alternative ideas to strip the install distro down as compact as possible
<SiFuh>
Since we now need over 1024mb of RAM to install CRUX
<jaeger>
I've played with it using a stripped down busybox environment but it needs a lot of work
<SiFuh>
jaeger: Yeah, a lot of work. I spent about a month dicking around with it.
<SiFuh>
I have/had some working versions. But nothing I can trust fully.
