Oh, there was a new glibc release at the start of this month. I'm not too hopeful that upgrading it will prevent the segfaults that plague this piece of abandonware: http://ix.io/4nzL

That same recipe does produce a working binary on Debian Buster (glibc 2.28), but the same segfaulting binary on Arch (glibc 2.37). I haven't yet exhausted all the possible gcc and ld flags, so maybe a working binary can be built with our current glibc.

I am scared to see what it does to all the Software Defined Radio stuff I have. Usually calls for major patching when glibc decides to update.

By the way, I will be slimming down my repo in a month or two. Shotcut, mplayer, vlc are on my to dump list.

Also skypeforlinux and telegram will be dropped too

I think I still have a local copy of your Shotcut port. Never got it to import video directly from a USB dongle connected to a VHS player, though. The only process that worked was to import the video first using an ffmpeg command, then load the resulting file in Shotcut.

My father was using USB dongles and the software they come with sucked. I sat down and taught him how to use OBS. My brother also uses OBS for the same thing.

farkuhar: all ports I dump go into another repo called unmaintained.
