<cruxuser11111>
hello guys
<cruxuser11111>
I have never used crux.
<cruxuser11111>
i use only debian.
<cruxuser11111>
is there a way that from DEBIAN you can debootstrap the rootfs of crux stable amd64?
<cruxuser11111>
(or similar).
<farkuhar>
cruxuser11111: making a container installation of CRUX within another Linux distribution is easier if you clone the pkgutils project (git://crux.nu/tools/pkgutils.git) and install pkgadd on the host OS. Then you could loop-mount the installation media and 'pkgadd -r $TARGET' the desired packages from the iso.
<SiFuh>
Or use VirtualBox ;-)
<farkuhar>
Downloading an ISO image falls outside the Debian user's expectations for "debootstrapping", though. You could in theory work your way up to a basic CRUX installation using just the repositories (no pre-built packages), but your starting point would still be to clone the pkgutils project (so that you can run pkgmk).

Operation London Bridge
<stenur>
I downloaded practically _all_ photos from the Guardian.
<stenur>
I also will keep Prince Charles statement on Prince Philip's death.
<stenur>
Until. I. Die.
<SiFuh>
Her body has not even warmed up yet and he has already descended to the thrown
<stenur>
At last she was even "Victorious over Borisorious"!
<SiFuh>
Charles is a very bad dude
<stenur>
Like she "said", "this one i will survive as well"
<SiFuh>
Heh
<stenur>
No. He is fantastic, and does all he can for environmental preserving
<SiFuh>
Hah!
<stenur>
By two days she did. On the sixth they were both in Scotland.
<SiFuh>
Done, conversation over.
<stenur>
Oh i adored him over 40 years ago.
<stenur>
I said "Poor Charles. Now he has to marry THIS woman!"
