great, it looks like every needed dependency is satisfied. But maybe alsa-lib is not up to date. Does alsa-lib appear when you run `prt-get diff`?
<karnol>
No
<karnol>
wait
<karnol>
Appear

in place upgrade to the 3.7 branch was fun. Especially when not being root in a terminal :D
<frinnst>
openssl broke my pam plugin so unable to su also which made things interesting
<farkuhar>
karnol: you'll need to update alsa-lib before trying to build alsa-utils.
<frinnst>
luckily I had a 3.5 media that could mount my disks
<frinnst>
fun times

3.7?
<frinnst>
there is a branch for it. don't recommend you try it unless you want lots of work ahead of you
<frinnst>
other than my fuckup (because im an idiot) things seems to work well enough. openssl will be somewhat painful for ports that are not very up to date
<karnol>
Is there a release date for 3.7?
<frinnst>
no
<farkuhar>
karnol: thanks for your 4 July feedback on the layout of the handbook. A rewrite is underway in any case, because of breaking changes in the 3.7 branch (syslinux replacing lilo, rc scripts no longer able to use /var/run), but your suggestion might also receive some consideration.
<karnol>
no problem

Anyone using an Intel Wi-Fi 6 on the 5.15.x kernel successfully? Specifically AX210, AX211, AX411?

I havnt used it. But the one on my motherboard is the MVM driver.
<SiFuh>
Yeah, it works fine on 5.12.19 but not I am trying to figure out why it won't work on 5.15.55. Also uses the MVM driver
<SiFuh>
Oooh 5.12.19 is loading ty-a0-gf-a0-62.ucode and 5.15.55 is loading ty-a0-gf-a0-66.ucode
<jaeger>
the docbook-x{m,s}l ports were adopted from others long ago and I haven't tried to really understand what's needed and not in them. They're a pain in the ass to update and I have no use for them other than as required deps for other things
