<dannas> SDS1000xe series oscilloscopes transfers waveforms with a small header prefixed. The SDS2000/SDS5000 scopes has separate commands for retrieving metadata that describes how the data should be parsed, and a command for actually retrieving the data.

<dannas> There's going to be a substantial amount of if statements inside SiglentSCPIOscilloscope once I've made my hacky modifications Oh well, once I have something working I can clean it up later.

<dannas> Got a little bit further today. Now I can retrieve data continuously but I don't yet parse it so waveforms on the screen. But I do atleast have the channels with correct timebase and voltage division.

<dannas> Those SCPITtransport::FlushRXBuffers not implemented debug prints are annoying. I should comment those out. And I should enable the tracing printouts for the SiglentSCPIOscilloscope class so that I can see how long time the retrieval of each fram takes.

<dannas> Hm, I wonder why no data is sent for channel 3. And the prefix for the waveforms does not match what the manual says they should be. I think they were different before I hacked my scope to get 200MHz bandwidth. I'll have to investigate that at some point.
