I assume this is a common issue but my firefox cursor theme is different from my desktop theme ( actually also foot is different too ! ). How can I reconcile this ?

cathalo: you probably want to set a theme for river (`riverctl xcursor-theme foo`) and configure gtk3 to use the same theme

I have done both of those, and the cursor is changed fine in river but not in any applications

you might need to restart your river session or at the very least the applications for the new cursor theme to take affect

there is a wayland protocol extension that makes this mess better but there's not widespread application support yet

hello to the wayland lands, would it be possible to turn river into a manual tiler with a different algorythm than rivertile?

i'm asking because there hasn't been a proper wayland alternative for herbstluftwm and turning the alghorythm into a zig script for river seems a little easier than starting from scratch, mostly because i'm no programmer :) than
