Does it still need the wasm binary?

NickH: ah, for your packaging efforts?
<LarstiQ>
there is still a zig-0.12.0/stage1/zig1.wasm
<LarstiQ>
referenced by bootstrap.c to feed to zig-wasm2c

Yeah, was struggling to find a sponsor even before the wasm binary.
<NickH>
Once that was introduced I decided to put the packaging work on hold.
<NickH>
I'm patient.

Not sure if zig-wayland has been ported to 0.12 yet, but I'd just like to note that I've been maintaining a fork of it for zig master (currently on 0.12) in case anyone wants to merge that: https://git.mzte.de/lordmzte/zig-wayland

<ifreund>
I should probably merge it to master soon

Alright.
<lordmzte>
Quite an annoying issue I'm having with river (master) at the moment: when playing games that capture the cursor (minecraft in this case), pressing a key will make the cursor (which is in a hidden state) "snap" to the middle of the screen (at least I think that's what's going on) causing the camera to move erratically. it's quite unbearable.
<lordmzte>
If I were to have a wild guess as to why this is happening, I think it might be the game telling the compositor to move the mouse to the center of the screen, which then causes river to send back a "mouse moved" event, which the game isn't expecting, causing the camera movement.
<lordmzte>
What's making me assume this is that the game typically also moves the mouse to the center of the screen when opening the inventory, but under river, the cursor instead appears where I left it instead.
<lordmzte>
hah! it's fixed (well, worked around) with `hide-cursor when-typing disabled`
<ifreund>
interesting, feel free to open an issue

Is there some way to make river redirect output from child processes to a separate log file?
<ifreund>
not without patching the source code
<lordmzte>
Alright. It's just somewhat annoying to manually sort through the log to extract river output is all :D
<adamcstephens>
as in spawning other programs? i do this by using systemd-cat which will give them separate journals tags
<lordmzte>
Oh that's neat

<Guest36>
hey, i have an issue:
<Guest36>
riverctl map normal Super P spawn '~/.config/fuzzel/powermenu.sh'
<Guest36>
this line in my config makes river to launch with errors, so most of the settings are not enabled (i can't spawn the terminal for example), but if i comment the line out and launch it in the terminal after river is launched everything works.
<waleee>
Guest36: first things first; are you certain the script works? Have you cmod +x:ed it (with appropriate #! at the top of the file)?
<waleee>
*chmod +x
<Guest36>
yes it works as it should, in facts after i do the mapping in the terminal the script is spawned as it should
<Guest36>
weird, right?
<Guest36>
even if i relaunch al the configuration file after uncommenting the line it works as expected
<Guest36>
