<novakane>
ah nice dumb_runtime_dir in void packages, ifreund is it better that I remove the line in /etc/pam.d/system-login before installing the package?

<ifreund>
novakane: yeah, I added it to pam-base
<ifreund>
Not quite sure how xbps handles modified config files like that though
<novakane>
allright thanks, no idea too, so better start with a clean one
<novakane>
ah wait I can't launch river now, should I still add back the line with the package?
<ifreund>
novakane: if it's not there, then yes
<ifreund>
it should be installed through the pam-base package
<novakane>
ifreund: hm so it should have updated pam-base too when installed runtime_dir?
<novakane>
anyway I added manually, not gonna try to understand pam

ifreund: what are your thoughts on dropping the "or later"-clause from the copyright headers? GPLv3-only is strictly (one-way) compatible with GPLv3-or-later, so you would not need the permission of all contributors (although you'd have mine anyway).
<leon-p>
I recently came to the conclussion that licensing code (optionally) under a not-yet existing license is not a very well idea. Also the chance of a GPLv4 by the FSF anytime soon is slim I think.
