<ifreund>
guess I should have hugo put the full content there
<ifreund>
this spec seems super janky
<Misthios>
rss has lots of optional stuff
<ifreund>
kinda seems like I should just use atom instead
<novakane>

novakane: my rss feed is hand written :D
<leon-p>
ifreund: If you think the rss spec is janky, take a look at it's date format. You'll loose all faith in humanity
<novakane>
oh well it works congratz :D

Hmm, after reading the perils of an xyz domain in your status update, I was curious if dev domains also had the same issue which is the domain I was planning to use for my emails server and websites.. turns out something like that might be the case

mon_aaraj: .dev is probably better than .xyz since google backs it but still probably not as good as .com or .org/.net
<ifreund>
anyone have suggestions for a client so I can try it out?
<mon_aaraj>
Yep, I asked a couple people who have experience maintaining sites and they say there isn't much of a difference - thank you for your help though! I personally use newsboat for rss readers
<ifreund>
nice, seems to work in newsboat for me
<elshize1>
ifreund: using newsboat as well and also working fine for me.
