<Grawp> Is there anybody who switches outputs very often like me? If yes, how do you deal with views being moved to other outputs when an output disappears? How do you move them back when it reappears?

<ifreund> Evo2: hmm, I can reproduce that (not finding the headers) with zig 0.9.0 but not zig 0.8, there may have been a regression there. I should have time to dive in and fix whatever's going on tomorrow
<ifreund> sadly there aren't any real docs on the zig build system or toolchain in general yet, I mostly read the source. Happy to answer any questions here or in #zig though
<ifreund> Anderson-D: happy new years!
<ifreund> kindablue: I can't reproduce that, are you sure you have a layout generator running? (e.g. rivertile)

<Evo2> ifrueund: thanks for letting me know.

<Evo2> No helpfull editor correcting my typos in irssi. It's already quite late where I am and I've had a few glasses of wine ;-)
<leon-p> Evo2: don't worry, I don't think anyone on IRC will get mad over typos. Otherwise I would have long been kicked out already :P

<leon-p> We still have cursor bugs when moving windows -_- I just tested a slightly uncooperative SDL applicaiton that does not like to resize itself and it made the cursor go crazy

<chipps__> hello people! I was trying to build river again, but seems like zig-wlroots requires wlroots version 0.15
<chipps__> the arch community repo has wlroots 0.14, whereas the aur wlroots-git has version 0.16
<chipps__> what do I do lol

<norkki> build wlroots from source or get it from community-staging
<norkki> the latter option will probably break stuff
<norkki> btw would getting the package from arch archives and installing it via `pacman -U <package>` be a viable option?
<chipps_> okay I just built wlroots 0.15 from source, and had to build river as well, but now It's just crashing
<chipps_> this is the log: http://ix.io/3Lxa
<chipps_> what is going on?

<chipps_> okay, it seems like wlroots doesn't play well with the proprietary nvidia drivers, so I've had to start using nouveau drivers, but its quite slow and jittery.
<chipps_> is there any way around this?

<alebastr> ifreund: I just noticed your advice to always set -Dcpu for packaging. Does zig use something equal to -mcpu=native by default?

<squid24> Hey I was curious to try out river but I noticed the comment on the AUR package says to use wlroots from the staging repository, is this still necessary?
