Hey so i was able to compile the ann_exp code after the changes, honestly feels like an achievement, feel free to take a look at this [repo](https://github.com/Aakash-kaushik/ann_exp), for now it has a logic_error that is mostly because of a mismatched matrix in the test Neural network.

Hey @zoq I think now will be a good time if you can take a look, I am not really able yo solve the runtime problem it's mostly arising from the submat function but even after removing that and matching all the matrix dimensions so they multiply well i am still facing an issue.
