libcereal-dev is already available in my local machine.

Sirish - What I did was git cloned cereal repo in my laptop, then gave that address in CEREAL_INCLUDE_DIR. (like CEREAL_INCLUDE_DIR=home/cereal/include)

It was a little different for me, I use cmake-gui. I find it to be more easier and interactive. You can either use this or include the line with cmake command.
