<sicelo> I booted into my 10+ year old Fremantle installation. surprised how many "apps" I had installed.
* sicelo makes a note to find time to port Alarmed to Leste

<uvos> Wizzup: what do you want to build btrfs images for?
<uvos> Wizzup: strange @ too long
<uvos> but ok the name is to long for something i gues
<uvos> shows fine in aplay -l however
<Wizzup> uvos: m617
<Wizzup> mz617
<uvos> Wizzup: how would btrfs help us there?
<uvos> i gues we could span a couple of partitions for more space
<Wizzup> uvos: compression
<Wizzup> the btrfs images are literally have the size of the ext4 ones
<uvos> but that dosent help us
<uvos> as the stock kernel can not boot from btrfs and only one parition is avialble
<Wizzup> I am pretty sure that the image I gave you half a year ago or so is btrfs
larr0t has joined #maemo-leste
<Wizzup> so it worked for you then too, no?
<uvos> i probubly repacket it
<uvos> but with a mz617 where android still works you can check if the btrfs module is avialable
<uvos> even if it is
<uvos> btrfs changed the on-disk format recently
<uvos> so we would have to create a btrfs fs with the old disk format somehow
<uvos> i think what would be a great thing to do instead
<uvos> (since we do need space)
<uvos> is disable all the drm plugins for mesa that we dont use in our pvr mesa
<uvos> thats like 100mb right there
<uvos> and since we must build ourselves because of pvr anyhow

<Wizzup> uvos: what do you mean on disk format changed?
<Wizzup> that seems unlikely
<Wizzup> uvos: our pvr mesa isn't just pvr, I think it's our general mesa
<uvos> Wizzup: sure but there are lots of drivers enabled we dont need ever
<uvos> like all the x86 desktop ones
<uvos> afaik btrfs has totaly incompatably changed
<uvos> yes this is insane

<uvos> should fix the audio issues on mz617 for now
<uvos> kernel needs some changes to solve the capture problem and to make the truncated name "offical" but that can come later

<Guest61> hi guys, has anyone attempted installing Omega-T on Leste? I know it requires JRE, but I haven't found any such package in the repo?
