Wizzup: hi, (for n900 slowness) that's definitely a combination of factors: apt-worker using 100% cpu and 30MB of RAM for few mins when it runs, trackers (with almost same cpu and ram usage), original transitions.ini (still a mystery, but huge impact)

N900 is very responsive with stock freqs (at least like Fremantle) if you disable trackers (and apt-worker) and use the light transition.ini file

and with a bit of boost (720), scrolling is acceptable in every apps (IMO)

the only weird stuff IMO is touchscreen latency, compared to Fremantle

on mapphones we tightly control when the touchscreen controller gets to autosuspend

mapphone touchscreen controller being autosuspended cause a large input latency spike when its used again

maybe the n900 controller can also be autosuspended and is doing so too agressively
