<tolszak> narmstrong: Any idea why kernel doesn't start when I enable HID_MULTITOUCH and most of touchscreens?
chewitt has joined #linux-amlogic
<tolszak> narmstrong: Seems like one of special touch screen drivers is the culprit when I left generic it boots and works alright
<chewitt> have you tried swapping =m for =y on that driver?
<chewitt> for reasons I can't explain that sort of thing sometimes works
jernej has joined #linux-amlogic
<tolszak> chewitt: I've set everything to =y as it is how meta-meson configures kernel
<tolszak> There are only a few modules IIRC

<Guest27> Hello all, I have a question: What is the configuration of the odroid c4/hc4 hardware when testing the mainline linux kernel? Is the u-boot started from the sd card and the spi flash is empty, or is the u-boot started from the spi flash?
<chewitt> Guest27 depends on whether you installed u-boot to spi flash or not
<chewitt> if you do, it will boot from it and search for extlinux.conf on SD, USB or HDD
<chewitt> if don't .. you need to have an SD card inserted
<chewitt> NB: I'm talking about upstream u-boot to spi
<chewitt> if you still have petitboot installed to spi .. then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
