<[massoud]> narmstrong: do you know if there is an official support for s905x4 in the mainline kernel ?
<[massoud]> it looks like amlogic is pushing the x5 in a close future maybe a support in mainline kernel for x5

<narmstrong> [massoud]: x4 support is in the pipe from amlogic, they are starting with s805x2 (s4) first
<[massoud]> narmstrong: thanks a lot, is there a s805x2 dev branch to follow ? do you have a rough estimation for s905x4 inclusing in the mainline kernel ?
<narmstrong> [massoud]: unfortunately no for both
<[massoud]> understood ^_^, however a device driver like the ARC driver for the x3 could be ported (or at least tested) somehow to the x4 using the official bsp from amlogic you think ?
<narmstrong> [massoud]: on mainline ?
<[massoud]> narmstrong: no not mainline sorry on khadas fork for amlogic soc but the effort to support ARC seems there to be tested on x4 possibly i was wondering
<narmstrong> [massoud]: no idea sorry i do not have access to the x4 Linux port

<gbisson> Hi, general question for the mali libraries, where would one get the ARM libraries for G12B? is it generic to all Bifrost GPUs or should it be downloaded from aml FTP server (like the binaries for AOSP)?
<narmstrong> gbisson: it's specific to G12B GPU
<narmstrong> gbisson: and you need to find it in the amlogic buildroot no-more-public buildroot
<narmstrong> Hardkernel should have a copy theyr distribute for the Odroid-N2, same for Khadas for the VIm3

<gbisson> narmstrong: ok thanks! do you have access to the FTP AOSP is referring to? is that FTP including Linux binaries or Android only?
<gbisson> (to know if it's worth it for me to ask access to it)
<narmstrong> gbisson: nop sorry I only have ssh git access. no public access
<gbisson> narmstrong: ok no problem, thanks
