<dnkl "i.e. "\e]9;hello world\e\\" beco"> When I do this echo -en "\ePtmux;\e\e]9;hello world\e\e\\\e\\", then the command hangs and never exits. I have to kill the tmux pane. Any idea whats going wrong?
<rumpelsepp>
The terminal/fish trolled me with the escaped backslashes. I have indeed the same string as you in my terminal. :)

rumpelsepp: fish is doing fishy things with the escapes... try terminating with "\a\e\\" instead (i.e. '... hello world\a\e\\')
<rumpelsepp>
Is it my chat client who eats slashes? 😀 Did use your snippet.

How can i copy to clipboard with mouse select ?
<themainman>
without using keyboard
<dnkl>
themainman: mouse selections are automatically copied to the primary selection (i.e. "middle-click paste") by default. If you want it in the regular clipboard instead, set "selection-target" in foot.ini
<themainman>
dnkl: oh, I didn't know about middle-click-paste, that was the problem, okay, thanks!
<dnkl>
themainman: standard feature in almost every X11 (and now Wayland!) applications ;)
<themainman>
dnkl: haha yeah , I forgot about it, I used to copy with mouse and paste with keyboard
<dnkl>
themainman: fwiw, foot (by default) binds shift+insert to "paste from primary". You are of course free to change that, and regular paste, to whatever keyboard shortcuts you want :)
<themainman>
dnkl: this works fine by me : selection-target=clipboard now
<dnkl>
