<davidlt[m]> Anup: Just a heads-up, we are planning to do OpenSBI v1.1 release sometime
<davidlt[m]> this week.

<davidlt[m]> I have updated curl, pycrul, rpkg, fedpkg and "fedpkg sources" continues to have issue (well, a limit of ~15 seconds) to download the sources.
<davidlt[m]> IIUC from the current investigation I most likely need to hack rpkg to add TIMEOUT or TIMEOUT_MS into pycurl options. Couldn't find (yet) from where exactly we get that 15000ms (not always the same, thus it's probably calculated dynamically).
<davidlt[m]> Looks like after updating to v5.18.4 on my board I not longer manage to download sources within 15 second window :)
<davidlt[m]> I assume that's not a problem for Fedora Koji because they can download at 50+M/s from the cache somewhere locally within the datacenter.
<davidlt[m]> I do 8-10M/s and that's too slow.
<davidlt[m]> Actually I will find a bug with fedpkg 1st (technically rpkg issue, I think).
<davidlt[m]> rwmjones: FYI: https://pagure.io/fedpkg/issue/483
<davidlt[m]> At least I documented it :)
<davidlt[m]> We must fix it otherwise we just burning CPU cycles for nothing, just generating a bunch of logs that just take more disk space.
<davidlt[m]> I will get some tee and try to fix rpkg this morning.
<davidlt[m]> Ha, I missed fedpkg-minimal :)
<davidlt[m]> Somehow I never noticed "-minimal" part looking into the koji logs.
<davidlt[m]> Yeah, it has in the changelog: - Patch: curl --max-time in seconds, not minutes
<davidlt[m]> It was suppose to be 15 minutes
<davidlt[m]> Other things related to v5.18.4. There seems to some issues (maybe DTB), because I don't see PMIC enabled, etc.
<davidlt[m]> I am running a pre-production Unmatched board, which has a different PMIC DA9063, but IIRC the patch was merged to support it.
<davidlt[m]> I might need to double check things, and maybe unbox a production variant board.

<rwmjones> morning
<rwmjones> reading ..
<rwmjones> interesting find
<davidlt[m]> So PMIC should be detected. This patch is merged: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/c9a20383578abd8f7fb8ba88f4c6d25b47924c34
<davidlt[m]> Since v5.16
<davidlt[m]> I will need to look into this
<davidlt[m]> Btw, fedpkg-minimal update fixed fedpkg sources issue
<rwmjones> since I changed the fan in nufive back to the CPU fan, it's been pretty stable
<rwmjones> nujive is still using the case fan
<rwmjones> I think next I might try to get a very big heatsink for the CPU and go back to the case fan
<rwmjones> because the current CPU fan is noisy
<davidlt[m]> I am looking into the DT things on v5.18.4
<davidlt[m]> I don't really want to touch the board too much while it is compiling stuff
<davidlt[m]> kernel-tools failed, but something new this time
<davidlt[m]> should be an easy fix
<davidlt[m]> One day we will have RISC-V with higher performance single-core!
<davidlt[m]> It's a bit annoying to wait for the compile to finish, it's not a "coffee break".
<davidlt[m]> SBI and RISC-V UEFI are ratified now!
<rwmjones> good

<davidlt[m]> failed again, I need to update yet another package for kernel-tools
<davidlt[m]> and a new attempt at kernel-tools

<davidlt[m]> and kernel-tools failed again! a new problem to solve
<davidlt[m]> at least there are some progress now
<davidlt[m]> aha!
<davidlt[m]> Seems we have a missing #define in kernel tools
<davidlt[m]> I will have to disable this tool on riscv64 for now
<davidlt[m]> If I am fast enough, I will have another 2-3 attempts at kernel-tools today :)

<davidlt[m]> I will built a new OpenSBI and new U-Boot RC5 tomorrow and start looking into DT changes/issues.
