farkuhar, this has the updated prtcreate?
<farkuhar>
ppetrov^: yes, it does.
<ppetrov^>
you're amazing!
<farkuhar>
you deserve credit for suggesting the new feature, though.
<ppetrov^>
heh, it's one thing to have an idea and another to do the actual work. I've had some issues at my workplace with people 'full of ideas'
<ppetrov^>
who just leave it at that and when someone does the work they want to be credited. But I appreciate you mentioning me.

hello my dear fellow Cruxters
<serpente>
i'm here simply to ask for something that has being under my shoe for a while now... i dont want to fement more intrigue about this, please just sincerely answer, okay
<serpente>
WHY, just WHY is Linux-PAM on core? WHY, same can be asked of sudo.... WHY there are putted in core?
<remiliascarlet>
To follow the sheep.
<serpente>
both sudo and pam are not needed for the system to work, are not required to boot and are optionals for the users to define. Also both of them had presented security holes, adding a new attack surface to the system
<serpente>
so.... why?
<ppetrov^>
serpente, I think you and SiFuh are gonna be best buddies
<serpente>
we are ppetrov, we are

<SiFuh>
Actually, I also wondered why sudo was in core since I found nothing in core that depends on it.

<SiFuh>
I also did a recursive grep of /etc and saw nothing calling sudo and since some of us use su, others use doas. It is kind of weird to have sudo in core
<GazL>
Afternoon all.
<farkuhar>
Hi GazL!
<GazL>
May I make a small request that the gcc Pkgbuild not remove the /usr/bin/*-linux-gnu-* files please. They're needed for libgccjit to operate correctly.
