<ppetrov^>
farkuhar, are you planning to include the update prtcreate in the next update of PrtUtils?
<farkuhar>
ppetrov^: yes
<ppetrov^>
great! that's so nice to see: I suggested a feature and it got implemented so fast
<farkuhar>
More testing needed, because I also want to include the refactored portspage. People who follow the documentation scrupulously are unlikely to discover the side-effect of unlimited depth to the recurse_tree subroutine (namely, broken links in the HTML table). I replaced it with a simpler file glob, but might have introduced new bugs in the process.
<farkuhar>
To trigger the broken links, just call portspage with /usr/ports as its argument, and instead of complaining about not finding any ports directly underneath, it descends into subdirectories and initializes %db with keys that omit the full path information. That's the behaviour I tried to fix by using a file glob instead.
<ppetrov^>
it made a page of absolutely all ports
<ppetrov^>
ok, i see what you mean by broken links
<farkuhar>
the parse_args subroutine was also silently dropping all non-option arguments except the last (again, it's not a behaviour that would be noticed by anyone following the documentation scrupulously). So I wanted to let portspage do something useful if more than one non-option argument is given, and I took pkg-repgen as the model to follow.
<farkuhar>
While the man-page for pkg-repgen 0.4.7 explicitly states that the html index is the one file NOT affected by passing additional arguments, I later patched it to reconcile the unequal treatment of index.html (versus PKGDEPS PKGINST PKGREAD PKGREPO which _are_ updated when passing additional args).
<ppetrov^>
would be nice if httpup-repgen ignored index.html

ppetrov^: "great! that's so nice to see: I suggested a feature and it got implemented so fast" That's cool
