[contrib.git/3.7]: gnome-icon-theme: updated homepage URL to use HTTPS
<jaeger>
Does anyone still use contrib/bridge-utils? It has been deprecated in favor of iproute2 for some time now and I'm considering dropping it.

I use brctl occasionally but after looking at the bridge command from iproute2 don't think I will any more.

Would it make sense to check signature of Pkgfile before sourcing it in pkgmk? I am not implying somebody should fix it. I am working on a patch for pkgmk to allow patching Pkgfile locally, before any processing of Pkgfile happens. So, I have two choices: 1) Check signature for original Pkgfile, then patch it, then source patched Pkgfile, or option 2) Patch Pkgfile, then source patched Pkgfile
<ukky>
Currently pkgmk sources Pkgfile, then downloads all components listed in 'source' variable of Pkgfile, and only then signatures are verified

[xorg.git/3.7]: [notify] xorg-server: update to 21.1.8
<farkuhar>
in that thread Fun linked to a "micro-pkgmk", which strips away most of the extraneous functionality that pkgmk had acquired over the years. I took Fun's upkgmk as an inspiration, and added back some of the more useful features to create pkgmeek: https://git.sdf.org/jmq/Documentation/src/branch/master/scripts/pkgmeek

hi guys... is prt-get being actively developed? I am asking because there were discussions about it not being able to pic new dependencies introduced for a package after an update. Even the Handbook has a comment about that. So, any plans to add this functionality?
<SiFuh>
Many discussions about it for a while
<SiFuh>
Would be awesome if it was to install new dependencies and then notify us that new dependencies were installed for blah blah package.
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: I only see 'add support for optional dependencies'
<SiFuh>
I don't see 'introduction of new dependencies for updated ports' yet
<farkuhar>
SiFuh: I put more details into the ChangeLog, preferring to keep the commit message brief.
<SiFuh>
I will take a peek

- Fix compilation on OpenBSD <-- what is this?
<farkuhar>
SiFuh: aside from the ChangeLog and the git diff, FS#1910 (comment 3) also has a few notes on my approach to injecting new dependencies during sysup.
<ppetrov^>
thanks farkuhar
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: Yeah I was looking at it. But now I am curious. OpenBSD?
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: heh, that first paragraph is my nemesis
<SiFuh>
I hate websites and videos that give you a ridiculous introduction about some shit. It is like I know.. I know.. I came here because of it, who fscking cares.
<SiFuh>
Today we will cook an eggplant. AN eggplant is from wsome bullshit place and some species of some weed and blah blah blah. I don't fscking care! I want to cook it!
<SiFuh>
farkuhar: Would actually be pretty awesome to have CRUX ports in the OpenBSD selection. Unfortunately, that means you need to install the compilation tools which most of us don't really have on our system for very long.
