SiFuh: Nice documentary. Nothing never seen, and propaganda as usual, but anyway, it clearly shows what happens when an "exceptional nation" attacks "subhumans".
<ivandi>
IIRC it started with the teutonic order. And it will continue until the west gets the message "just live me alone".
<ivandi>
Trying to whitewash any side is pointless.

BTW, from tomorrow on I am a prisoner in Canada. I can't board a plane if I am not jabbed. And the sheeple here is cheering.
<SiFuh>
ivandi: Heh, I've been a prisoner for almost a year

Basically, my connection to the outside world is through the internet. Can't even go into the shop anymore to by food.

Buy* so the neighbours now do my shopping
<ivandi>
Well, it is not that bad here for now.
<ivandi>
I hope people will wake up at some point

I have been against everything since November 2019 and got abused because of my rejection by many.

I should go to Kuala Lumpur soon but you can't even cross state lines anymore
<ivandi>
Looks like I can't cross the border, but for everyday life it is still OK.
<SiFuh>
All government buildings, and all big corporations have no entry policy to those who have only 1 or no injections
<SiFuh>
No hospital/medical access, no entry to police station
<SiFuh>
My friend who owned his own business and was making good money had to fire all his staff and is now secretly fishing off the coast of Indonesia to make money to feed his family
<ivandi>
Not sure what exactly is going on with the small business here. For about a year the government has been paying everybody to stay at home.

I often use the "Textxt" extension in Inkscape to type math formulas with Latex. But, oddly, inkscape can't find Texlive which I have already installed! On the other hand, if I install Texlive (2021) without going through the ports and setting the corresponding environment variables, then everything is fine with inkscape. I don't know if this has been encountered or not by other Crux users!

You can go to extensions -- render, there you can a thing like "mathematics" and then pdflatex is greyed. Also by manually adding the "textext" extension (see its site for how add it) we can see in text -- textext that nothing works. The problem is relative to the variables. Sorry for my very weak english.

Belgacem1958, your english is fine :) i see that the texlive package is being built without xetex support. i think that might be the problem. i'm rebuilding texlive now to test.
<pedja>
guess not, xorg/xorg-server is using meson. sorry for the noise
<frinnst>
yes it is, and that report was that meson is broken. autotools works just fine :-)

except for some la-hell

fuck this is tiresome

<pedja>
if meson is broken, how/why is xorg-server port using it instead of autotools? presumably xorg maintainer built the thing before pushing it :)

<elderK>
Hey guys, does anyone have any issues updating xorg-server?
<elderK>
My issue was first libxcvt is needed: I removed xorg-server and redepinstalled.
<elderK>
That fails, however, due to Xorg.wrap having changed (no sticky bit?)
Belgacem1958 has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<farkuhar>
elderK: if xorg-server finishes building correctly but has a footprint mismatch due to the sticky bit, can't you just pkgadd -f the newly-created package tarball? In the meantime, report the footprint mismatch to the port maintainer.
